Summertime. Heading into the
best time in Western Ontario. And to
help you make the most of it. Village
Squire has a number of stories that let
you know what's going on.
Bed and breakfast has long been
popular in England. It's a growing form
of friendly. reasonably priced alterna-
tive accommodation in this country too.
This month Village Squire takes you
behind the scenes in two area towns
which offer bed and breakfast, Stratford
and Blyth. Both sprung up because of
demand from patrons of summer thea-
tres, but you don't have to be theatre -
bound to enjoy the atmosphere bed and
breakfast offers.
Summer means outdoor music in
Western Ontario and writer Jim Heer
has details about some of the best of our
folk festivals. Locations range from
London to Owen Sound.
Maybe you're a theatre buff who
looks forward to the variety of fine plays
at the area's professional theatres each
summer. The 1981 season will be better
than ever, according to Herb Shovel-
ler's survey in this month's Village
Squire.
If a quiet time reading in the
hammock is your idea of how to spend a
Western Ontario summer, we've got
columns, reviews, food writing and
humor you can muse over.
Feel up to a little jaunt? Village
Squire has a day trip to a little-known
area landmark.
Enjoy your summer. And enjoy it
more with Village Squire.
