The Rural Voice, 1979-06, Page 16Here they are!
Rural Voice jumped on the Year of the
Child bandwagon this month with our
contest, searching out the best in kids' art
and stories from our readership.
More than 100 entries were received
from children aged from five to 16 who live
in many parts of Bruce, Huron and Perth
counties. First place winners, and as many
of the others as we had room for are
reprinted on these pages of Rural Voice.
Judges had an extremely hard time
selecting winners, and in many classes
picked honourable mentions as well as the
top money winning entries. First -,second
and third place winners will be receiving
cheques in the mail from Rural Voice later
this month.

My cat Bottons and her Kittens
My cat Bottons had kittens a couple of weeks ago.
Just the color in the picture. The black and white kitten is my
sister Jane'; Kitten. The pure gray kitten is my kitten. And the
dark striped kitten is my brother Brents kitten and the light gray
striped kitten is my brother, Jeffs kitten. The big cat is the
mother and everbody owns her! Jane is calling her kitten
Petunia. I am calling my kitten Bandit. Brent is calling his kitten
Bruiser, Jeff is calling his Alice, My kitten is a girl. Jeffs kitten is
a girl. Janes kitten is a girl. Brents kitten is a boy. That is all.
Yours truly
Anne Robinson
