Carol Finch
New Girl at the Office
Carol Finch has worked six days so far in
her new job as secretary for the Huron
Federation of Agriculture.
Her job includes tiling, answering the
telephone, correspondence, banking as
well as taking the minutes at all the
federation meetings.
Carol says she enjoys it so far but quickly
adds "I have a lot to learn vet!"
Carol will be working every Friday at the
Federation Office at Vanastra.
Grey Twp. Meeting
The annual meeting and banquet of the
Grey Township Federation of Agriculture
was held in the Ethel Community Centre
on Wed., Nov. 22/78, with approximate
100 people in attendance.
Bill Mann, our President, opened the
meeting with the Chairman's remarks. He
also introduced the Guest Speaker "Dennis
Martin" - Sr. Dairy Farm Management
Counsultant with the Ministry.
Mr. Martin took as his topic "The
Economics of Farming". Money manage-
ment is a very key factor.
Merle Gunby, 78-79 President of the
Huron Co. Fed. of Ag. brought greetings
and news re proposed membership fee
increases. Also commented on Hamilton
Convention.
Jerry Fortune too brought greetings and
commented on the 1. Speaker Course
available in the county.
2. The proposed St. Johns' Ambulance
course.
3. Report on the I.P.M. at Wingham.
4. Hamilton Convention.
It was decided to hold the April '79
County meeting inour Township.
Bill Crawford spoke and conducted the
Election of officers.
A discussion period followed.
