John Austens barn sports a geometric pattern
a small horse on the little door of the barn.
There are some eye catching paintings at the farm of Earl
Stebbenssouth of Dashwood, in Stephen township.
Twelve years ago, Mr. Stebbens painted a scene on his driving
shed; it features a farmer with his barn and two horses, all in
bright colours.
On his other barn, although a little faded, there is a huge scene
with trees and houses and horses. Mrs. Stebbens said it was
really beautiful when her husband first painted it in 1938 -- forty
years ago.
these are just a few paintings done by local artistic farm crs
there ale a lot more around.
And they are certainly refreshing to see when you are driving
through the countryside.
