Holstein twilight meet
Despite an evening drizzle over 150
people attended the Annual Huron County
Holstein Twilight meeting July 19 Emma
Franken, was hostess to the members who
participated in judging two and three year
old class holsteins and senior yearlings at
her farm north of Auburn.
Gordon Bill started the evening with a
type demonstration showing what good
points to look for when judging cattle.
Court Carmichel from Medway farms
was official judge with winners as follows:
In the 2 & 3 year class Mrs. B. Martin
won a cow halter donated by the Holstein
club; John Verburg won a halter donated
by Robin Bolander, Gone, Top 4-H Girl and
Boy were Diana Brand and Perry Van Osch
who both received a $5.00 cheque a
donation from Topnotch Ltd., Seaforth.
There were seven other prizes donated for
Judge Gordon Bell points out what to look for in judging a
Holstein while Paul Franken guides the young cow to show off
her finer points. The annual twilight meeting took place at Emma
Ftankens farm north of Auburn on July 19.

Evening draw was won by Linda Van Osch.
Clark Johnston of Belgrave provided
entertainment followed by lunch.
