in all areas of Ontario has been the
potential for increase production per acre
as compared to other feed grain crops.
Grain corn in this comparison produced
as many pounds of grain on one acre as
did oats on 2.6 acres, or barley on 2 3
acres. The differnce in costs per pound of
crude protein showed little variation. ‘1111
barley providing the cheapest source at
43.5 cents per pound. oats at 44.7 cent,.
and corn at 45.9 cents.
Young farmerspage planned
"How're we gonna keep'em down on the
farm, after they've seen Paree?" is a
question that's rarely asked in Western
Ontario any more.

good deal dimmer these days as local
young people recognize farming as an
