A number of peo- ple unable to attend had their dinner delivered to them. A full course turkey dinner was served by the Executive and their wives. A Christmas carol sing long was enjoyed as well as decorating the tree. A program was performed byy/ ssooin�e�pof the Seniors directed b Peggy McC a les, June Elliott and Noreen Robb. The skit was about a Teacher and her students in an old-fashioned classroom and some of the humorous and unpredictable events which sometimes occur. June Elliott gave some humorous readings. Bob Courtney was Master of Ceremonies and also played a few numbers on his sazaphone accompanied by his wife, Joyce. 0 Canada was sung as the evening came to a close with a jubilant group of Seniors heading fortheir home. Sunday, Dec. 3 was a blustery winters' day but there was still a very large tur- nout at the Children' Craft Day spon- sored by the F.A.C.E.S. Club. The children were pleased with their creations and have probably wrapped them up already for Christmas gifts. - Thursday, Dec. 7 is Craft Day at the Community Centre. Anyone interested in quilling or wanting to learn, come out and lend a hand. Thursday evening at OPP report DINT CLARK by Bev Hanson 8 p.m. SHARP is "Card and Games Night" at the Community Centre spon- sored by the Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club. Everyone is invited to come out and meet new friends as well as having an enjoyable evening. On Saturday, Dec. 9 the Point Clark Kinsmen are sponsoring a Children's Christmas Party from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Centre. All children are welcome to attend. Monday, Dec. 11 is Seniors' Shuf- fleboard huffleboard at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Community Centre. All Seniors are welcome. Come on out to the Cwnmunity Centre and "ring" in the "New Year"! On Sun- day Dec. 31 a New Years' Eve Dance will take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a limited number of tickets available. A Buffet and party favors are included. The Dance is sponsored by the Point Clark Kim Club and tickets are available by calling: Don Rae at 395,3480; Dave at 395-2261; or Terry at 395-2468. An R. R. 3, Goderichman reported finding a strong box on the north side of county mad 15 in Bruce Township on November 28. The 14" x '12" x 8" metal box had been secured by three padlocks and was pried open. The owner is not known it this time. The Kincardine OPP are investigating,, the theft of a pure bred Bassett Hound belong to a Kincardine woman. The dog, valued at had been left in the care of a Boiler Beach friend, and was reported missing from that location on November 29. A complaint of a missing generator from a construction site in Huron Township was, received on November 29. 1The 35OO watt volt edge generator Was valued at $900. A 25 -year-old Lucknoly' man has been charged with Possession of a Narcotic Substance as the result of the execution of a Search Warrant, on November 29 in Lwow. The- man will appear in Provincial Court, Criminal Division on January 9. Bumper Riding Children have been reported hitching rides on the rear bumpers of cars.. This is a very dangerous practice and should be discouraged by parents. Nine motor vehicle accidents were in- vestigated during November 27 to December 3. Two involved minor per- sonal injuries to two people and the re- maining sevenere property damage RIDE cheCks conducted during the same period resulted in 140 vehicles checked, three ALERT tests ad- ministered with two 12 hour moons being issued for drivers registering WARN. One charge was laid under the Liquor Licence Act as a result of these checks.
