Novice house
league showing
improvement
On Friday December 1, Wingham came
to Lucknow for an Exhibition game
against the Novice house league.
Wingham, .determined not to lose a se-
cond game to Lucknow, struck quickly,
scoring with only seven seconds showing
on the clock, and again less than two
minutes later to go into an early 2-0 lead.
Just before the end of the first period,
Richard Walke put Lucknow on the
scoreboard after taking a pass from John
VanDiepenbeek.
Despite many excellent saves by
Lucknow's goalie Jordan Andrew,
Wingham was able to score twice more
in the third period before Conor
McDonagh's hard work paid off as he
carried the puck up the ice, handing off
to Daryl Aitchison, who found the net for
his second goal of the year. Final Score
Wingham 4, Lucknow 2.
Although they lost this one, the
Lucknow team is .improving with each
game played, under the patient coaching
of Allan Andrew, Jim McGee and Rod
Havens.
Lucknow's next scheduled game is
Thursday December 7 when the team
travels to Belmore for their first meeting
of the year.
