John Oestreicher chairing the meeting .and opening with prayer. Welcome was extended to a new member of 'Presbytery, Rev. John Benham, whose Covenanting Service is slated for October 5 at Palmerston United .Church. In the worship service Rev. Norman Perry of Kincardine led the singing ac- companied by Rev. Barbara McMath at the piano. Rev. McMath's meditation centered around the .21st Psalm when she spoke of our faith, our sacred spots and our pilgrimage. From this passage comes the assurance that God will not let our foot be moved but that He will keep us in our comings and goings. In his report for the Division of Finance, Len -Patterson of f3arriston, warned of an increase in Presbytery dues for next year. Bruce Presbytery is one of the lowest assessments in the Conference area. Mr. Patterson has been appointed Chairman of Finance for Hamilton Conference. Other .appointments to Conference in- clude -'Rev. Ralph . Sohn idt of "Bervie to the ..Stewardship Committee and Rein. Margaret Rain of :Hanover as Liman of .Education and Students Committee. Due to ..the vacancy created by the move of `Rev. M'Math, to Beaverton, Judy Blue of Southampton and Rev. Jim Feairs of 'Tara .have been .appointed -Presbytery. Pastoral .Relations represen- tatives to Saugeen Pastoral 'Relations Committee. -'Rev. Ken 'Tanner's -member- ship -has- been:transferred 'from ':Bruee to Axford:Presbytery in .London Cinnference. Congratulations .is extended to the con- gregation at "Tobermnory which is now self-supporting. Rev. Dave Fearon -from T�eeswater reported the .disappearance of. people off the 'streets . in -Argentina, Guatemala and other areas. Church workers in these places .have set up an Urgent Action Net- work whereby volunteers can be con- :tarted.,to write. letters to alddresses;pre- -vided, to .try to save±idividaels.:
