Helms hold
5ist reunion
The 51st Helm reunion was held on Ju-
ly 16 at the home of Clare and Gladys
Van Camp, Belgrave, with an attendance
of 44.
Following the potluck dinner a minutes
silence was held for the ones no longer
with the family.
President Allan Ritchie welcomed all
attending and the business 'was attended
to. The 2990 reunion will be at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Campbell, the
third Sunday in July.
The executive for next year includes
Allan Ritchie, president; Bruce Campbell,
first vice; Violet Ritchie,
secretary/treasurer; Nancy Jardin, pro-
gram; Bryce Ritchie and Lloyd Whytock,
sports; Isobel Hunter and Wendy Ritchie,
tea.
Joyce Van Camp was in charge of the
program. Winners were Ivy Cloakey for
number of candy in a jar; Violet Ritchie
and Ken Hunter, lucky plate; Brenda and
Jerry Huizinga, aiming the farthest;
Samuel Huizinga, youngest child; Olive
Camplbell, oldest person; KalW-Van
Camp, birthday closet to picnic; Jerry
Huizinga, most buttons; Mathew Camp-
bell, most colourful shirt; Travis Camp-
bell and Bryce Ritchie, stripes 'on socks;
Brenda Huizinga, longest hair; Elia
Hackett won the ladies contest on work
and Jim Hunter, the men's.
Joan Helm was in charge of the sports
and winners were: Patrick Ritchie and
Ruthanne Huizinga, tied for running
race; Wesley and Martha Huizinga, run-
ning race for older children; Ruthanne
and Darryl Jardin, kick the slipper;
Pauline and Martha Huizinga, hopping
race; Patrick Ritchie, Wesley Huizinga,
Darwel Jardin And Collin Campbell,
three Telged races; Patric* Ritchie and
Rathanne Dan'yel Jardin And
Collin,Qmpbell, itheel barrow races. A
candy tow ended the sports.
Clare and Gladys Van Caw passed mut
pens tees& one before returning home.
