Robert J. and Karen Roberts of Dungannon, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, London, on his birthdate, June 16, 1989. Charles Albert Pinkerton Charles Albert "Chuck" Pinkerton of R. 2, Cargill died in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, on June 12, 1989 at the age of 54. Born in Pinkerton, Ontario, Mr. Pinker- ton was the son of Lloyd and Christen Pinkerton. He attended Waterloo Lutheran Univer- sity and Toronto Teacher's College. Mr. Pinkerton had been a school teacher for 35 years, employed by the Halton IBMs Board of Education and previous to that by Huron County. Mr. Pinkerton had retired one year ago. He was a .niember of the Pinkerton - United Church. `1411r.'15nkertomisxurvived,by bis sister, Peggy, Mrs. Curt Johnson, of Salgrave; brothers, Bob of millaburgh, Jim and„Rdll Of Pinkerton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother Jack. The funeral serviced was :conducted :by Rev. Mervyn Russell, on Thursday, June 15 from the Paisley Chapel, with hiter- ment in Douglas Hill Cemetery. Donations to the intensive Care Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital, London would be appreciated. Leslie -Gordon Purves Leslie Gordon Purves of Lucknow, a retired barber, died in Wingham and District Hospital, on June 6, 1989 in his 86th year. He was a member of the Lucknow Presbyterian Church. Mr. Purves was born in West Wawanosh 'Townsbip on June 24, 1903, a son of the late James Purves and Marg Kennedy. In 1926 Mr. Purves married the former Vera Philips, who survives him. He also leaves surviving a son Jim of Zurieb; a daughter Eileen Of Waterloo; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bolt, Lucknow, ,Eurina Lyons, Clinton and Marjorie Purves, Lucknow; a sister-in-law, Katherine Purves, West Wawanosh; three grand - 'children, Patti Cummings f Germany, Marie CumMings of Goderich and Jim Purves of London; and six great grandebildren. Mr. Rums was predeceased by .two sisters, Mary and Annie, and three brothers, Calvin, Kenneth .and Mex. • Funeral services were ,conducted froin the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home by flev 4Barnsay and Rev. a. Henderson, on June 18. Flower bearers were4lim Purves, Dave Salm, Bill Brown and Bob Brown. Pallbearers were elm Err ' ington Roy Marstall, Bill Bolt, Bob Lyons, Doi* Brown and Eigin,Altott.
