Lochalsh lady enjoys trip
On Saturday evening many friends,
neighbours and relatives gathered at the
Legion Ball in Lucknow for the wedding
reception for Liz Wilkins and David Dad -
son, -who were married earlier at the
AshfieldPresbyterian Church.
Finlay McDonald favoured the crowd
with a few selections,gn his violin, and an
uncle of David's favoured with calling off
fora couple of square dances.
'The 'Wilkins family -were all able to at-
tend the wedding and reception. The
•bride's grandmother was able to beat the
wedding andthe lunch that was held in the
basement of the church.
On Wednesday, Dorothy Finlayson join-
ed a busload of people .and took off for a
trip to Niagara. They had a nice trip ex-
cept it rained fnnn about the time they got
to Guelph and until they got back to the
Guelph area. Other than the rain
joyed the trip.
On the weekend, Dorothy Finlayson is
expecting to,have Jane Emberlikand Bar-
1).ara Rogerson of Toronto and Jeannie
Finlayson and girls Laura and lAsakf Sar-
nia andwjiileheretheywillattenda
shower for Laura Sus Of PortZlgin.

Ripley to attend the Maitland

The theme of the meeting was "Go and

Church:met in the basement of the Church
on Tuesday evening May 9.
The meeting opened with the president
Betty Jones at the helm who gave a
reading.
Themeeting was then turned over to the
convenor Audrey Ferguson, who opened
her part of the meeting with the singing of
a number of hymns.
Audrey then introduced t guest
speaker Marion MacFarlane .of Lucknow.
Mrs. MacFarlane's topic was on how the
Missionary funds is spent. She told of the
hardships, joys and many doings of the
MacFarlane farnily and their (many ex-
periences Since starting into the ministrY,
and all with four small children. filer talk
was very much enjoyed by the 22 ladies
present.
'The minutes of the last meeting was
read andthe offering received.
Grace was sung And a lovely lunch was
served by the lunch ,coinmittee.
