Elizabeth Anne Frances Wilkins and
David Charles Dadson exchanged vows
Saturday, May 6, 1969. 'The bride is the
daughter of Charlie and Mayme Wilkins of
Ashfield Township and the groom is the
son of Gord and Shirley Dadson of
Amberley.
Rev. Hugh Nugent of the Ashfield
Presbyterian Church and Pastor Ron
Ashton of the Goderich Free Methodist
Church officiated at the 6:30 p.m. wedding.
Ruth Alton of RR 7 Lucknow was organist
and Ruth Ashton of Goderich was soloist.
The bride's gown, made by her mother,
was fashionedafter the style her mother
wore 39 years ago. It had a sweetheart
neckline trimmed in lace and seed pearls,
and fall -length sleeves. The long gored
skirt was inset with lace panels, also em-
broidered with pearls. A waist -length veil
was held by a curved headpiece of lace and
pearls. and the bride carried a cascade
bouquet of white orchids, friesias, dusty
rose roses, lily of the valley and ivy.
Donna Pawluk of Hamilton, friend of the
bride, was maid of honor. She wore a dusty
. .
rose, ankle4ength -dress and carried a lace
fan adorned with dusty rose roses, friesias,
lily of the valley and ivy.
The bridesmaids were Barbara Wilkins
of Paris, Ontario, sister of the bride, and
Shirley Ann Dadson of AmberIey, sister of
the groom. Both wore dresses and carried
fanssimilar tothe maid of honor.
Laura Wilkins of RR 3 Lucknow was her
aunt's ilowergirl , wearing a dustry rose
ankleulength dress and carrying a basket
of flowers similar to the bridesmaids.
Gordon John Schill of Lucknow, nephew
of the groom, was ringbearer in a black
and grey tuxedo.
The groom wore, a black tuxedo with
tails, and had his friend, Geoff Fillmore of
Rochester, New York, as best man. The
guests were ushered by Ken Wilkins of
Ashfield Township, brother of the bride,
and Gorrlie Dadson of St. Thomas, brother
of the groom. All three wore black and
grey tuxedos.
A reception was held at the Ripley Com-
munity Complex, followed by a weekend
honeymoon at an undisclosed destination.

out by Jean Ross, superintendent, on Sun-
day morning at Chalmers Presbyterian
Church, Whitechurch.

Michael Ross.

The 75th anniversary since the start of
the Women's Missionary Society was held
in Chahners Presbyterian Church,
Whitechurch onamday-morning at 11 am.
KatbleenElliott presided for the service.
Readersthrciugheat the service were Nor-
ma Rintoul, Helen Rintoul, Ryan Elliott,
Shaman Creston, Michael Irwin,'Brenda,
Beth Gugg.
Marion Mundell of Gerrie was the
special speaker. She is and has been a very
hard worker in the W.M.S. She was thank-
ed by Norma Rintoul and presented with
agift from the group.
Rev. John Neilson sang a solo.
Karen Elliott was presented with a cer-
tificate and pin in recognition of her work
in various things in the church.
After the service lunch was served in the
basement of the church.

The TiVhitechurchWomen's Institute held
their family and consumer officers
meeting May 10, in the community hall in
-Whitechurch.
HostessMrs. Norman Rintoul welcomed
thekglies. President, Marjorie Wall open-
ed the meeting with a poem. The opening
ode and Mary Stewart Collect and Lord's
Prayer followed the opening.
Agnes Farrier read the minutes of last
meeting and business was discussed.

to Betty Armstrong or Marjorie Wall, Roll
call was answered by naming an Old time
remedy.
Aliongon recycling was sung with Mrs.
Ross at the piano.
