Ripley and district.eommunitles. The com-
plex reports an all time high for, the annual
carnival's pancake breakfast. The card
game in the `p.m., bingo in the township
hall, sleigh rides with the. fancy dressed
horse and wagon, the Heritage tour of four
homes in the village, finished off with the
dance at night.
A capacity crowd watched young figure
skaters Sunday p.m. The beginners from
Purple Grove were Christine, Carman and
Jamie Farrell Cameron and Christopher
Cale.
Visitors with Jack and Janet Farrell on
weekend were their son Robert and his
friend Carlyne from Mt. Forest, also Peter
and Susan Roberts and boys are spending
a few days with Farrells.

The community is planning a pot luck
supper Friday p.m. Feb. 17 at 6:30. They
hope for snow for a sleigh ride and other
entertainment.
The Purple Grove Orchestra helped the
Happy Hearts program Friday with their
good music being Valentine time, the men
did their best to show the ladies a good
time.
Don and Ann McCosh had a busy week
with visitors Don and Tiny Robertson,
Aurel and Marjorie Armstrong also May

Friends are wishing Reg Godfrey and
Alma Gillies a good report from their re-
cent visit to Owen Sound doctors.
Katherine Collins was a guest at Harvey
and Betty and Helen Anne Needhams in
Kincardine Sunday p.m, Donnie and
Dianne spent an evening with Katherine in
Ripley recently.
Marjorie Thompson, Allan and Marie
Colling visited Robert and Nancy Cumm-
ing of Pt. Elgin Sunday and attended the
christening of their son Tyler at the Wesley
United Church. Rev. Brydon assisted at
the service. -
Last minute word received about the
community evening Feb. 17th is a contest
for the best decorated cake for the Valen-
tine party. Prize will be given.
Marion Gamble had dinner at Ernie and
Jean Roe. Katherine Fraser and daughter
Janice and LeRoy Godfrey all had some of
Ernie's 42nd birthday cake.

The Kincardine -Stamp Club will again
be host to their annual stamp show and ex-
hibition, to be held on April 8, at the Cana-
dian Legion Hall, Lambton Street. The
show which will be open from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. has already drawn dealers from On-
tario to book space for the show, which is
in aid of the Kincardine General Hospital
Children Fund, which the club adopted as
its pet project.
Anyone wishing to make a private dona-
tion to the clubs hospital fund can send it to
M. Singerman, 384 King Street, Kincardine

• Donald (Dinnie) C. MacDonald
Dinnie MacDonald of R. 1, Kincardine,
died • on February 7, 1989, at the age of 36..
He was born in Wingham on December
15, 1952, a son of Jack and Audrey Mac-
Donald of Lucknow.
Mr. MacDonald lived in Lucknow from
his birth until 1975. He, attended Lucknow
Public School, Lucknow High School and
F. E. Madill Secondary School, Wingham.
O n May 10, 1975 he married the former
'atricia J. King. After their marriage they
resided in Kingston, Brockville and then
Kincardine.
Mr. MacDonald was by occupation an
engineer from 1975 until his death. He was
a member of the Presbyterian Church. He
enjoyed playing hockey, soccer and
baseball and fishing.
The late Mr. MacDonald is survived by
his wife Patricia and two children,
Jonathan James and Julie Dawn.
He is also survived by his parents Jack
and Audrey MacDonald and three. sisters,
Beverly Hitchman of Kitchener, Brenda
Primeau of Burlington and Ettabelle
• Scbinbein of Kitchener.
Funeral services were conducted in Kin-
cardine by Rev. Allan Paisley, on
February 10.
Pallbearers were Klaus Heinisch,
Ripley; Jack MacDonald, Ripley; Mark
King, Clinton; Robert Sangster Jr.,
Wingham; Robert Harrison, Wingham and
Michael -Courtney, Lucknow.
