Lancers back winning Lucknow Intermediates The Lucknow Lancers got back into the win column over the weekend as they downed Durham 4 - 3 in a game played m Lucknow Sunday evening. The win comes on the heels of an 11 - 4 loss to Kincardine and a 6 - 5 loss at the hands of 'the Owen Sound squad. . In the game played here Sunday, the Lancers opened the scoring early in the first period when Dave Gibson put one past the Durham netminder. Dan Landry's first goal of the season gave the Lancers a 2 - 0 lead but Durham stormed back to get on the scoreboard and cut that lead in half. Scott Gibson found the mark to give the Lancers back their two goal lead just S PORTS before the teams headed for the dressing rooms. Durham came out of the dressing room inspired to score the only goal of the se- cond period and to tie the game late in the third. With less than two minutes left to play in the game, Lucknow's own Art Clark slapped home the winner to hand Durham their first defeat of the season. The Lucknow Lancers hope to continue their winning ways as they travel to Teeswater on Friday and host Kincardine here Sunday. Fern's double, by the way, was 411. The men weren't quite a good as the ladies this week but Len McDonald did come up with the high single score of 203 and a double of 373. Monday Mixed League • The men's high single this week was roll- ed by Dwayne Ziegler with a 267 score. The high triple went to Eric Taylor who llolwed a combined score of 678. For the ladies, Shani Webb -Ziegler roll- ed 279 single and captured the triple high with a combined score of 655.
