Business Association's concern with crimes
The Lucknow Business Association held
a combined special and general meeting
Monday morning.
Officer Gard Johnston, Liaison Officer
for the Kincardine detachment of the OPP
was in attendance to discuss the concerns
of the business people regarding the petty
crimes taking place in the village. The
most recent was the theft of the light bulbs
on the Christmas tree erected at the post
office by the association.
Officer Johnston informed the meeting
that the young culprits had been con-
tacted and warned, as well as being in-
formed that if they were involved again
they would be charged and brought to
court.
Officer Johnston confirmed that a
satellite office of the OPP will be opened in
the village in the very near future. Officers
will be keeping a higher profile and the

people easier.

REMEMBRANCE
BY ERIN HICKEY,
GRADE 6
ST. JOSEPH'S, KINGSBRIDGE
Imagine if there were no Remembrance
Day to remember,
We wouldn't have a special day like the
eleventh of November,
Our country wouldn't be what it is today,
And what about you and me?
Imagine if there were no brave soldiers,
To leave their families and homes.
It is sad they had to die for us,
This makes me remember.
Living in peace is great,
We hear all about defeat and victory,
It's all part of our history,
For me to remember.
Disasters were hard to accept,
People were lonely, tired and afraid,
The years were lost,
Now I remember.
Men made the trenches their homes,
They were determined not to give up.
All efforts were for us,
That is why I remember.
Imagine if there were no Remembrance
Day to remember.
