Learning
the fine art
of swingin'
The long, dog -days of summer mean
there's lots of time to perfect your swing-
ing, as young Tyler Nicholson found out
this week. Tyler, with a little help from big
sister Melanie., got his share of swing-
ing...from the little, lazy swing...to the big,
powerful push. All in all, it was a tiring day
at the playground for the kids which in-
cluded a picnic lunch with Mom and big
"brother Marc. Next time, Tyler hopes to
move up to the bigger swings, but only
after a good, long nap. (Rob Bundy photos )
A wonderful time for families.
The Talk of the Town
Summer is a wonderful timelfor family
get-togethers and reunions. So often it
seems the only time relatives have a
chance to visit with each other is at wed-
dings or funerals.
How much better it is to renew acquain-
tances and to get caught up on news at a
picnic in the park.
The Thornburn familyheld a picnic in
the Lucknow Kinsmen Park on Sunday,
July 17, with an attendance of 40.
Best wishes were extended to Lloyd and
Marion Keating of Guelph who were
celebrating their 45th wedding anniver-
sary. They all enjoyed themselves so much
it was decided to make it an annual event.
Cliff and Kay (Thornburn) Crawford
hosted this reunion.
Sunday, July 24 was the McLean Reu-
nion held this year at Murray .Willits' cot-
tage at Grand Bend. Attending from this
area were Ewan and Marjorie McLean
and Bruce and Barb Willits and girls.
