Sympathy of the community is extended
to Lorraine Kerr, her family and other
relatives here in the passing on Friday in
London of her mother Grace McTeer of
Paisley.
Brenda Bridge attended the induction
ceremonies in London on Thursday for her
brother Chris Pope who has been accepted
into the Navy. Chris will be flying to Cor-
nwall N.S., Friday to work on the ships for
the summer.
Ripley 4-H Vet Club held its first meeting
at the clinic Tuesday evening. Dr. Tammy
Ribey and Dr. Ken Bridge are leading the
club which has 10 members.
Marjorie Thompson entertained Cheryl
Yeit of Michigan for the weekend. Also
visiting on Sunday was Sandra Fidler of
Hanover.
Last Wednesday Katherine Collins, San-
dra McGillivray and Margie Lochhead at-
tended the performance of "Cats" in
Kitchener.
Ken, Brenda and Sandy Bridge spent the
weekend at Cornwall Ont. visiting with
friends Brian and Yvette MacNaughton and
family.
Carmen Farrell had friends Erin Arm-
strong, Kathleen Scott, Rachel Mackay,
Janine Farrell, Melanie Haines and Patrick
Farrell on Wednesday for her sixth
birthday.
Visitors from Rochester, Michigan on the
weekend with Katherine Collins were
Dorothy Bell, and Bill and Debbie Bell.
Margie Lochhead, Shanna, Rachel and
Devon of Waterloo joined them and visiting
on Sat. evening were Ed and Sandra
McGillivray, Kelly, Kristy and, Matthew,
Gordon and Ruth Patterson, W.J.. and Carol
Bell of Point Clark and Marion Emerson.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken McGregor of
Hagersville visited Marion Emerson on
Sunday.
Dave and Valerie Gibson, Julie and Dan of
London holidayed at the beach on the
weekend and had supper with Don and Alma
Gillies in Ripley on Sunday.
Brenda Bridge and her mother, Jackie
Pope went to Toronto on Tuesday to pick up
her great aunt who has flown over from
England and will, be visiting with Brenda's
family for the. next four weeks. •
Andrew and Sheena MacDonald travelled
to Tobermory on Saturday where they will
be employed for the summer.
Holidaying here for a couple of weeks are
Peter and Susan Roberts, Garrett, Jordan,
Dwight and Christopher of Denfield.
Visitors with Jack and Janet Farrell on
the weekend were George, Janice, Rachel
and Colleen Miller of Thornedale and Al,
Kathy and Jared Martin of Kitchener.
Christine Gibson, daughter of Jim and
Eleanor Gibson of RR3 Lucknow,
graduated from Conestoga College with a
degree in Recreation Leadership on June
10, 1988. Christine is now employed at Vic-
toria Place in Kitchener, Ontario as a
Recreation and Community Manager.
