The Lucknow Sentinel, 1988-06-22, Page 5Let's share our space
Dear Editor;
A turtle went across the road,
One bright and sunny day.
He meant no harm to anyone,
But lumbered slowly on.
A driver thought it might be fun,
To use it as a target.
He cracked the shell and left it there,
To die a slow, hard death.
Respect for others, so we say,
Is something that:we teach -
Try starting small and go around
Or even pick it up.
We share our world with many forms,
Let's try and share our space.

P.S. Even snappers can be moved! They
can be rolled, cautiously, using a branch or
board.

the summer months, but will re -open in

Dear editor:
I just heard about the bank charging 40'
service charge for a roll of pennies. I was
in the store at Carlow and the owner has
the solution. They have a pot of pennies. If
you need a few, borrow them; if you get a
few and don't need them, leave a few in the
pot. He says it works well. I believe him.
Over time it should average out. But right
now I owe three cents.
Maybe all stores should do this.

P.S. Plus 37' for our post office and an
