Whitechurch U.C.W.
The Whitechurch U.C.W. meeting was
held on Wednesday May 4 at the home of
Mrs. Clifford Laidlaw.
Mrs. Agnes Farrier opened the meeting
with a reading "God who touches
everything with Beauty". Mildred Mc-
Clenaghan read the scripture from Ec-
cliastes 3 and gave the meditation.
Agnes Farrier led in prayer, and gave a
reading on mothers. Mrs. Russell Chap-
man read the minutes from the April
meeting. Eleven answered the roll call by
contributing an interesting item to the
meeting.
Mildred McClenaghan, Mrs. Russell
Chapman gave a dialogue "If God should
speak" based on the Lord's Prayer.
Business was dealt with before Agnes

meeting with prayer. Grace was sung and
the hostess served lunch.

and Jason of Dorchester visited on Sunday
with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Elroy
Laidlaw and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott's
Karen. They attended the open house for
Miss Annie Laidlaw.
Mr. and Mrs. Mao Izumi, Miss Sumi
Iwamoto of Toronto were weekend visitors
with Mildred McClenaghan.
On Monday John McKinnon, Mildred
McClenaghan Mr. and Mrs. Izurni, and
Miss Sumi Iwamoto were supper guests
with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jervis of
Clinton.

chener, along with Glen and Ken Sin-
namon of Wingham, were Sunday visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beecroft.

were Tuesday visitors with the Beecrofts.

Huron Township Council meets
Huron Township council donated $100 to
K.D.S.S. Senior Concert Band and requested
them to perform at the Point Clark
Lightkeepers House Opening on June 18.
Steve Burns of B.M. Ross & Assoc. Ltd. at-
tended an April meeting to discuss a detail-
ed Water Supply Master Plan for the lake
area in Huron Township.
Council passed a resolution asking for
assistance from the Ministry of the Environ-
ment for this study.

PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING A PROPOSED OFFICIAL
PLAN AMENDMENT CONSISTING OF
A SECONDARY PLAN FOR WEST
WAWANOSH TOWNSHIP
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron
will hold a public meeting on Thursday, May 19, 1988 at 8:00 p.m. at the
Senior Citizen's Hall in Dungannon to consider a proposed official plan
amendment under Section 17 of the Planning Act.
The proposed offical plan amendment would affect all lands lying within the
Township West Wawanosh, as shown below. The Secondary Plan will in-
clude policies for Agriculture, Natural Environment, Urban, Extractive
Resouces, Institutional and Recreational land uses, among others. The
Secondary Plan will also include severance policy for the Township. A draft
copy is being sent for information purposes to all ratepayers within the
Township at the end of April.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal
representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed official
plan amendment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed official plan admend-
ment is available for inspection at the Huron County Planning and Develop-
ment Department, Court House, Goderich, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
and at the Township Municipal Office.
