mond Hill visited on the weekend with
Mrs. Norma Rintoul. Mrs. Rintoul return-
ed to Richmond Hill to spend a few days
with the Campbells.
Mr. and Mrs. Barry Elliott and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and Karen and
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Vannus, Lauren and
Lindsay of London were guests on Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw and fami-
ly of Dorchester. Jason Laidlaw was
celebrating a birthday.
World Day of Prayer service will be held
in Whitechurch United Church on Friday,
March 4, 2 p.m. Rev. Mr. John Neilson will
be special speaker. All ladies in the com-
munity are invited to attend.
Mrs. Don Ross attended the workshop on
Organists and Choir Directors on Saturday
at the Anglican Church in Listowel. Ap-
proximately 40 attended from different
churches in the area.
Anyone interested in attending the 4-H
Club project called, Encounter the Out-
doors, and who is 12 years old as of
January 1, 1988 please call Mrs. Walter
Elliott by March 20 at 357-1358. This pro-
ject includes how to set up a shelter, Light a
fire with one match, photographic and
cooking skills plus others.
Mrs. Bill Gibson co -hosted a bridal
shower on Sunday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. Grace Gibson in Lucknow for
Beverley Harrison, bride to be of Brian
Gibson who is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Gibson of Ashfield township.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Oberholtzer, Jeff,
Julie of Waterloo visited on Sunday with
her mother Mrs. Norma Rintoul.

with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Purdon. Mr. and
Mrs. Hugh Simpson spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Mari Sakli and family of
Windsor.
Chalmers WMS
Chalmers W.M.S. Whitechurch held its
February meeting Wed. Feb. 17 at the
home of Mrs. Walter Elliott.
The leaders Mrs. Neil Rintoul and Mrs.
Norma Rintoul were in charge of the
meeting.
Mrs. Neil Rintoul gave the call to wor-
ship, while Mrs. Neil Rintoul read the
scripture and gave the meditation, follow-
ed with prayer. Mrs. Hugh Simpson, Mrs.
Wallace Milligan read poems. Mrs. Norma
Rintoul gave the topic called `prayer'.
The president, Mrs. Walter Elliott then
presided for the business portion of the
meeting. Roll call was answered by 12 with
a verse containing the word "love".
Corresondence was read, thank you
notes were read, and Mrs. John Neilson
thanked the ladies for get well wishes
when she was ill. Mrs. Neil Rintoul closed
the meeting with prayer.
The ladies aid meeting followed with no
new business to discuss. Rev. John Neilson
asked the blessing and Mrs. Elliott served
refreshments.

day evening with Don and Tiny Robertson of
Purple Grove. Don and Tiny visited with
relatives in Guelph on Saturday and also at-
tended the funeral of their cousin Mrs.

Unfortunate
accident

Allan Rhody had an unfortunate acci-
dent on Wednesday while at work. During
loading operations he had his leg broken in
two places as well as his foot. He was rush-
ed to Wingham Hospital and later to Strat-
ford Hospital. He is now in Wingham and
our well wishes are with you Allan.
Mr. and Mrs. William MacPherson
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott at
Ripley.
Mrs. Louise Schneller of Wingham
visited on Tuesday with Edna and May
Boyle. Mrs. Harvey Cooper visted at the
same home on Thursday.
Mrs. Blanche Anderson of Kincardine,
Cecil and Merle Gordon of Chauvin, Alber-
ta visited on Monday with Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Haldenby and family.
Sara Haldenby visited for a few days

Saturday at Bruce Lea Haven, Walkerton
to celebrate the 98th birthday of their
father, Mr. Joseph Guest. Kinlough friends
send best wishes to this elderly gentleman
at this special time.
Sotne from here attended the Service of
Christian Unity and the fellowship hour at
St, Peter's Church, Lucknow on Sunday
evening when the clergy of all denomina-
tions took part. Members of the various
congregations assisted with the singing
and Rev. Merelyn Letson gave the Sermon.
It was a most inspiring service.
Mrs. Fred Page who has been a patient
in the Wingham and District Hospital
came home on Friday. We wish her im-
proved health.
