Getting lost

by Catl er ueSiMupsan-
St. Joseplea
Every year two farm-
lies, the McLeod and the
Lee family always go
skating on Christmas Eve,
This year Lisa McLeod
and Sue Lee wander off to
play and when, the two
came back everyone was
gone! They try to be brave
but WS no use. About 9
p.m. they hear a voice,
"Help I'm lost and I need
help! Sue and Lisa run to
the voice and it's Santa!
Santa has, a. big prob-
lem.'}Iis sleigh is broken!
Santa is disturbed because
it is. Christmas Eve. So -
Sue, Lisa and Santa all
pitch in to help fi>k.the
sleigh, In no time the
sleigh was fixed. They had
fixed it with twigs they
had dug u.phard mud that
they had found by the ic e
rink and long grass that.
theyy had found under a
rock, Soon they where
ready toset off.
Withthat they set off to
deliver toys to children.
Sue and Lisa where.excit-
ed. They had never been
around the world in three
hours. Santa started to say,
"Would you girls like to
come to my house?". The
girls did not want to say
no because they ,didnot
want to hurt Santa's feel-
ings. At the end of the
night Sue and Lisa where
homesick. Sue and Lisa
finally said. "We'd rather
go home tonight." Santa
said that he understood.
With that they went
from Hong Kong to
Canada, Soon Lasa was at
there front door. Sue was
also. home in no time. In
the morning they both
found a compass and let-
ters that read,,, Next year
if you get lost meet me at
the pond. Love. Santa."
The girls helped for many
years after that. It was
something they always
enjoyed.

I Started to. investigate,
I watched their every

work. At supper. I ques-
