About 200 quilted pieces, 82 of those being large quilts, were on dis- play at the weekend show at the Teeswatet Community Centre, The. beautiful work displayed is a testament to the quit- ters, The Guild celebrates its 10th anniversary this year,• The group has grown in leapsand bounds £rot -i. starting off with, 15 mem- bers in 1988 to 85 mem- bers today. The Five Star 'Quitters Guild is a charitable, non- profit organization, The purpose is to promote quilting, to it prtn the public, to improv 'skills through education, to assist those practicing quilting and to do commu- nity work. The Guild meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. alteannat- ing meetings between Lucknow and Teeswater.
