She thought she knew : ever•ything about him
1 think after we have been in 4t rela-
tionship, or known someone for a
lengthy time, we assume that we know
that person completely, Not so!
A case in point for me was a'discus-.
sion hubby and I had recently,
We're approaching our 30th anniver-
sary and 1 knew him for a .couple of
years before that. So one could' assu:nie
that 1 would know his ins and outs,
likes and dislikes by now. Not sot
It was a Sunday when this conversa-
tion took place. 1 had prepared what I
thought was a beautiful steak dinner. 1
always cook a big meal :on Sundays
because, with his jobs .we don't get to sit
down together and enjoy a full meal
. during the week.
I`ll set the scene for you.
Eyen though it was ,Sunday, 1 had
come in to work fora few hours'
goes with the job. I rushed home to put
the thawed steak in the,
oven, peel the potatoes,.
prepare the veggies, and
Make a scrumptious salad
and have it all ready to.
serve in an hour.
":Che love of my life was
engrossed• in golf on the
babe tube, so 1 lovingly
served him his salad and
then joined him.
Compliments were lav-
ish on the salad,
'dished up the main
course, appliedthe season-
ings His Highness prefers
and trotted back to him
with a beautifully
arranged dinner prepared by my loving
hands:
"Hrimun," he goes. "What do we
have here?"
