Ruth's life was compared tb the life of a refugee as she and her husband and two sons fled to Moab to escape the drought and 'famine in Israel. A video "Brown Women Blonde. Babies" was shown, Laura Lee Cayley tiled in. discussion of the video which. focused. on the lives of immigrant domestic work- ers in Canada. These women came from the Philippines to be livehin nannies. This video looks r at theireasons for leaving their homeland and loved ones :and it examines the government . policies which make .them a cap- tive work force.
