like every other member, spends Sunday nights from
October to show time rehearsing. Then there's week-

and the intense week before the performances.

support phone solicitation
Dear editor:
As a representative:. of MADD
Huron/Bruce, (Mothers Against Drunk
Driving), I,, have _received many com-
ments (mostly negative) regarding the
ongoing' 'telephone 'solicitation being car-
ried on nation-wide by DD Canada,
our "parent" organization with headgear-
' ters in
eadquar'ters,in Mississauga.
We have had reports ofttharasament--
and demands .for minimtim donations by
these telephone solicitors, who are not
MADD volunteers but rather employees
of Reese Brothers Ltd., a American tele- .
• marketing, 'company contracted' by
MADD Canada to raise funds.
. While we,' as a 'chapter, recognize the
need for professional fund-raising at a
national level, we do not agree with the .
manner in which this particular campaign
is being carried out. We have spoken' to,
the MADD Canada people at length
about our concerns that the campaign is
perceived by many people to bea definite

nuisance and: that it is insensitive to, the ,
individual circumstances of people con-
tacted by the telemarketers. To date'noth

cerns and the campaign continues,
We wish • to, disassociate . the

paign. If you wish, you may have your
name removed from the telentarketing
company's computer database by, simply
asking, firmly that this be done You can
do thiswith any telephone .solicitation,
not just MADD .Canada's. They must.
remove your name if requested!
This 'stated, we encouragesupport of
