why we moved here.
When we moved, to
town we knew that
Wingharn, Goderich and,
Kincardine were quite•
accessible from Lucknow.
What we• didn't know
was our. neighbors. They
have been wonderful and
have all welcomed'' us. We•
have enjoyed. meeting ar,.
bowling in the Town and
Country • league even •
though they beat 'us.- we
all have become•., one big
nappy family..

Every year,,I mean to `start my letter to: you nice and
early but .every year, I'And myself at the; last Minute.
absolutely flying, trying to catch up with half of every-
• thing, still to do'.. This year has 'been worse than' most as
my husband and I are both 'slowing down. But I'm sure
you know I think of you all , And many of Your readers
keep mein touch
We had a lot of visitors from Canada this year, among
them Barry McCullagh and his -wife, from Belleville in
Ontario. I stayed with them briefly in 1980 after thy
wonderful week in your Dungannon. He is •now retired
but formerly newspaper editor in his area, still `occasion-
ally active, and',originaiily from N. Ireland, married to a
New .Zealander, with two'children both doing well in
your country. ' .
We also had, a couple', frons Saskatchewan where' t •• ,•
was, born. They own to small planes• andfly everywhere, .
they, told: •me;, so .they found N. Ireland VERY small

Bank of Montreal came in,
got on the computer and
got my card to work.
We are sure other resi-

put themselves out to help
you. We are not saying •
this doesn't happen in
other small, towns as WC

Lucknow we KNOW it.

• A new correspondent is Mrs. Elsie Hardy who
brought me up to date with her own affairs and those of
John and Myrtle Spivak who were sokindtto me. when I
was there. In spite of health difficulties, I' m glad to hear
they're both bearing up, keeping bright and cheerful
• K,K. Dawsons- too, has troubles but astonishes; me and.
everyone•else by the way he overcomes them;. It's softie.

We had a let of Belgian callers; this year, mostly war'
veterans stationed here during the Warr.. One old soldier
brought his wife, his daughter and his'. granddaughter so
the press; here made a big fuss of
Last Week my son` was home briefly before; beginning
Wink' on a B.B.C. , program which we look forward :to•
viewing -•later on. He and his wife spent their• summer.:
,holiday in India this year and for Christmas, they have
swopped their' London .home with: a young, French cou-
ple fpr• their flat lin• Paris which should: be fun; for them
all. Also. lastiweelt my sister flew Off to Kenya for a ,hot,;
iday with her daughter and family in Nairobi. My ,hats
band. and 1 seen to, be• the Only 'ones staying put ;
