Kinlough WMS enjoy meeting
By May Boyle
Season's Greetings to All.
The Presbyterian W.M.S. held their
Christmas meeting at the church on
Wednesday, December 14, with a noon pot
luck dinner, which 15 ladies,;enjoyed.
Mrs. Tom McDonald presided for the
business period and read a poem and had
prayer.
Winnifred Percy was in charge of the
devotions, reading the scripture and giving
the meditation.
Each lady contributed a number for the
program in keeping with Christmas. Then
they packed the candy bags for the Sunday
School to be given at the Christmas Concert
and alsomade up the cheerio boxes for the
sick and shut ins.
We extend congratulations to the Rever-
end Alexander Hewitt (formerly of here) and
Mrs. Hewitt and family who have been
moved from St. James Anglican Church,
Fergus to his new appointment to St. Paul's
Anglican Church at Westdale. Hamilton. His
first service at St. Pauls was December 1.
Before the Hewitt family left Fergus, they
were given a farewell party and presented
with gifts and a beautiful grandfather clock.
Happy

They had made many friends in Fergus and
had a successful ministry. We all wish the
Hewitt family well in a new area in His
Master's Vineyard.
The Holyrood Women's institute sent
their cheerio boxes to sick and shut in folks
in time for Christmas:
Charlie Murray returned home from
Wingham Hospital where he has been a
patient. Get well wishes are extended,
Charlie.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson and Lois
returned home after visiting with Karen
Evans at Georgetown Hospital and other
family members.
Jean Hodgins of Wingham spent Tuesday
with Edna and May Boyle and at the same
home on Wednesday was Marretta Hodgins
of Lucknow and Thelma Green of St. Helens.
Some from here attended the Christmas
Open House at the home of Reverend and
Mrs. Philip Ruch and Jennifer at Ripley on
Wednesday evening.
Lois Nicholson is visiting with Mr. and
Mrs. Mei King at Mississauga.
The Nicholson family Christmas was held
on Saturday at the Parish Hall in Lucknow.
Forty were in attendance. Their father. Dan
Nicholson. was happy to be with his family.
