The Lucknow Sentinel, 1983-11-30, Page 13obituaries Barbara Roszella Ard Barbara Roszella Ard of Wingham died Saturday, November 19, 1983 at St. Joseph's Hospital, London following a brief illness. She was 70. She was a member of the Wingham Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Society. Born October 19, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Henry Mullin and Maggie MacMillan of Ashfield Township. She resided in Lucknow from 1918 to 1958. She married Gordon Ard in Lucan on June 14, 1958, and then moved to Wingham. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Roszella was predeceased by her hus- band, a Sister, Maizie and two brothers, Cecil and Stewart, The funeral was held Monday, November 21, 1983 at 2 p.m. from the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home in Lucknow with Rev. Paul Mills of Wingham Presbyterian Church conducting the service. Temporary entombment followed at Wingham Cemetery Chapel with spring burial in Wingham Cemetery. Elizabeth Mary Ferguson Elizabeth Mary Ferguson of Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home in Lucknow died at Wingham and District Hospital on Tuesday, November 22, 1983 at age 90, A member of Lucknow Presbyterian Church, she was born in Ashfield Township, on February 20, 1893, the daughter of the late Samuel Brown and Emily Cooper. She married Hugh Ferguson of Ashfield Township on October 21, 1913. Mrs. Ferguson is survived by two daugh- ters, Marie, Mrs. Clarence Greer, of Lucknow and Wanda, Mrs. Bill Harris of London. She was predeceased by her husband, a daughter, Amanda Ferguson in 1918 and a son, Donald Ferguson in 1980, as well as four brothers, Richard Brown, Thomas Brown, Walter Brown and William Brown. The funeral was conducted from the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home on November 25, 1983 at 2 p.m. Rev. Allison Ramsay of Lucknow Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers were John Ferguson, Lester Ferguson, William Ferguson, Bob Greer, Paul Harris and Dave Jewitt. Burial followed in Kincardine Cemetery. MaeLEOD - Passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Monday, November 21, 1983, Mrs, Ada Mary MacLeod of Lucknow, in her 90th year, The former Ada Lavis, she was predeceased by her husband Sandy in 1980. Left to mourn her passing are one daughter, Mrs. Grace Hodgkinson of Wing - ham; one son Lawrence of Lucknow; two grandchildren, Kenneth of Listowel and Keith of Wingham; and three great grand- children. There are two brothers, Harry of Lucknow and Reg, London. Funeral service was held today (Wednesday) at two o'clock at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, conducted by Rev. Allison Ramsay.
