Outlaws attend tournament
The first Broomball tournament of the
season is now history. The Lucknow Outlaws
gave a great performance at the annual
tournament held in Teeswater over the past
weekend.
The Outlaws first game was played Friday
night against a team from Goderich. Despite
gallant efforts from the entire team, the final
score was 1 - 0 in favour of Goderich.
The second game was played on Saturday
afternoon against the Teviotdale Raiders.
The Outlaws out hustled the Raiders to a 3 -
1 victory in an exciting game which was a
thrill for Outlaw fans to watch.
It was a great team effort with the
excellent playing of both the offensive and
defensive lines and the solid games played
by Dave Collins in net.
Scoring for the Outlaws were Bill Arnold,
assist Percy Hauck: Wayne McDonagh.
assist Surge Stojanov; Gerald Cook. assist
Steve Chamney.
The third and final game for the Outlaws
was against the Seaforth Easy Riders. The
Outlaws were short handed and suffering
injuries. but came up with a gallant effort
losing 4 - 1 to Seaforth. Lucknow's lone goal
was scored by Wayne McDonagh.
The Outlaws put on a terrific performance
all weekend. The games were enjoyed by
everyone in the stands.
The Outlay. s will continue their regular
league games, played Sunday evenings in
Teeswater.

Lancers drop close game
After suffering their worst defeat in their
past history, the Lancers bounced back to
play a stronger game against last year's
divisional champs Elora.
Elora opened the scoring in the first on a
goal by . Paul MacDonald. Graham Sealy
scored the second goal, a shorthanded
effort, at 6.30 of the first. Elora scored their
third goal at 3.01 of the first as Brian Martin
beat Ray Guay.
Lucknow's tally was scored by Randy
Alton at the one second mark remaining in
the period with assists to lan Montgomery
and Dave Mackinnon.
in the second period, the Lancers out
scored the Elora team 2 to 1. Elora's lone
goal came at the 14.37 mark with Larry
McDougall collecting his second point of the
game. Lancer tallies were by Steve Simpson
assisted by Paul Hamilton and by John
Hamilton assisted by Steve Simpson and
Grant Gilchrist.
With Lucknow trailing Elora 4 - 3 going
bowhng
into the third. Elora put the game out of
reach when Chet Couture scored at the 16.39
mark. The final goal came at 5.47 on a power
play as Doug Martin scored Elora's 6th goal
of the contest.
Lancers Win Second Game
The Lancers got their second win of the
season as they defeated Mitchell last Friday
by a score of 9 - 8. Jeff Denomme led the
offensive as he scored a hat trick. Jim Van
. Osch scored two goals.
The teams were tied after the first at 2. - 2,
tied at the end of the second at 5 - 5. At the
final buzzer Lucknow had again defeated the
Mitchell team for the second time this year.
The Lancers will be playing a weekend
home and home series with Mount Forest.
The team travels to Mount Forest on Friday.
December 2 and hosts the Mount Forest
team at home on Sunday, December 4 at
7.30 p.m.
The Lancers are planning a dance in
Dungannon December 16.
Town & Country bowling
Mabel Whitby had high single for the
ladies with 223. The double went to Anna
Johnstone with 381.
High single for the men was Harold
Campbell with 200. Art Burrows had high
double of 320.
