Dungannon couple celebrate anniversary

Visitors on the weekend with gill and Marie Park were
Ralph Hill and Patti Pswley, Larry and Bonnie Hugill and son,
Laurie, all of London and Steve, Deb and Holly Park of
Goderich,
Congratulations to Jack and Evelyn Errington who
celebrated their 56th anniversary on November 23, Jack also
reached his 135th birthday the same day, (lest wishes on this
joyous occasion.
Congratulations also to Dave and Dorothy here who were
five years married on November 24, Others celebrating
anniversaries this past week were Dennis and Val
Vanderburgh and Carole and Allister Nivins,
Area children celebrating November birthdays were Jenni
Sue Brown, Jesse McMichael, Shawn Woods, Michael
Spivak, Michael Dauphin, Holly Park, Richard Rody and
David Spivak.
There were 13 tables of euchre in play at the bi-weekly card
party sponsored by the Dungannon and area seniors, held at
Brookside School. High mans card was a tie between Ted
Bowers and Lloyd Moffat with Lloyd winning the out. Muriel
Moffat held the high lady score, Low man was Shelley Powell
(white card) and low lady Lee Shetler,
Alex and Lynn Chisholm and son Jack, moved on Saturday
to the farmhome recently vacated by Alvin and Myrtle Kerr,
The Kerrs have moved to Goderich.
A few from our area attended the 35th anniversary dance
held at Saltfdrd on Saturday night for Mr, and Mrs, Harry
rtdeswell, Their son, Bill, wife, Kathy and little son, DJ „
reside in the village,
The eighth annual banquet of the Dungannon 4-11 calf club
was held on Sunday, November 27 at 7 p,m, in the
Agriculture Hall,
hollowing the dinner and all the toasts and introductions,
trophies were presented.
Top junior dairy showperson was Andrea Smith, the Huron
Dairy Equipment trophy; top dairy showman was Perry Van
Osch, winning the Bob McCallum trophy, The Murray Gaunt
trophy for top beef showperson went to Nancy Walters, The
George Smyth trophy given to the top beef and dairy member
during the entire club year was given to Scott Hackett (beef)
and Andrea Smith (dairy). Previous, winners ineligible,
Sandy Kolkman citizenship trophy was won by Perry Van
Osch.
John Clark Memorial Scholarship for a 200 word essay on
„Why Join 4.H" to Barry Nivins,
The president, Perry Van Osch thanked the Dungannon
Agricultural Society and the donators of banquet provisions
Oardiners Dairy and Ross and Isabel tied y,
Words of congratulations to leaders and members were
delivered by the Reeves of Colborne Township, Russel
Kernighan; West Wawanosh, Jim Aitehison and Ashfield,
John Austin, Bob McNeil brought greetings from Dungannon
Agricultural Society,
The winner of the Daintons satin bound blanket was Doris
Paquette of $oderich,

Rev%; Arthur Scot of Trinity.St, Helens churches preached
at Dungannon Sunday while Ree. Roberts took the service§ at
Trinity -St, Helens, Rev, Scott spoke on verses from Isaiah and
St. John, the latter being, In him was life, and the life was the
light of men. The choir sang the anthem, On a Day When
Men Were Counted,
