The fall meeting of Whitechurch Water
System was held in Whltechutch Community
Memorial Hall on Tuesday, November 1 with
21 present.
Alex Craig, president, presided, The
minutes were read by secretary, Janet Little.
The fee for water remains at S15. The
directors are to hold a meeting prior to the
spring meeting in April to deride on a fee.
The treasurers report was given by Mrs,
9111 Gibson. Dave Stapleton was appointed
to the ward of Directors.
The collection of water samples was
discussed, Cecil Lithe is to gather the
samples and take them to Wingham for
$125, It was decided to pay secretary and
treasurer SSO each by April 1, Bills for grass
cutting and maintenance bill be paid by Cecil
Little.
A vote of 31 - 3 in favour of purchasing
new equipment was held and Alan and
Kevin Falconer are the committee in charge
of installing the new equipment,

On Saturday the recreation committees
representing the ball teams, W . M, S, croch-
eting group and Women's Missionary
Society held a very successful bazaar in
Whitechurch Community Memorial Hall,
Tickets on a draw were sold by the ball
teams. First prize, Christmas turkey; 2nd
price, Christmas Hang and third prize, a
Christmas cake,
Mrs, Tom Day drew the tickets. The
turkey was won by Kendra Purdote the ham
by Muriel °arttiss, brussels and the cake by
Debbie Prance, Ripley.
The ball teams will use their money to
build bleachers,
Visitors on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E.
W. Beecroft were Ken Simmons and Ronald
Beecroft of W ingham,
Mr. and Mrs, John de borer and Mrs,
Symon de borer of Lucknvw visited Sunday
with Mrs, Roely de Boer, Fred and Joanne.
Mr, and Mrs. David Elliott of Stratford
visited Sunday with his patents, Mr. and
Mrs, Walter Elliott and Karen.

welcome on behalf of the church members,

Waterloo visited Sunday with his mother,

Eileen Darling of Stratford visited Monday
with Mildred McClerraghan,
Ted McClenagha.n's father-in-law, Austin
Neeb of New Hamburg passed away last
week and on Wednesday, Mr, and Mrs. Ken

The U.C.W. held their meeting on
Wednesday, November 2 at the home of
Mrs, Lorne Durnin, Mrs, Durnin opened the
meeting by reading a meditation on Hymns
of Praise. Mrs. Alice Moore read the
scripture; Mrs, Durnin read an article on
Faith, Mrs, Moore led in prayer,
A minutes silence was held in memory of
those who gave their lives in war,
Mrs. Durnin introduced the speaker, Miss
Brown of Varna, who gave an interesting
History of Martin Luther and the Refora

Elizabeth Tiffin thanked Miss brown and
gave her a gift,
Mrs Durnin led in prayer, Wilda Laidlaw

Archie Purdon's home,
Kendra Purdon, Marilyn Jamieson and

skit for Achievement Day.
