Visitors for the past two
weeks with Bill and Dora Van
Dyke and family were Dora's
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Bert -
us Slits, and Bill's brother-
in-law, Harry Van Den Brand
and son, Antons, of Holland,
Cora Cranston, Ella, Shir-
ley and Bell Hackett and
Hannie and Donna Scott
attended the Spring Thank -
offering at Ashfield Presby-
terian Church last Thursday
evening. Jack and Lynda
Campbell of Amberlev
:showed their slides of their
trip to Holland. Germany,
Francs and Britain, which
were very interesting.
Paul and Janice Blake
enjoyed dinner and a visit
with her parents, Ed and
Noella Miller of Goderich, on
Sunday.
The West Huron Junior
Farmers held a very success-
ful spring dance at the Luck -
now Community Centre on
Saturday night. Proceeds are
to be donated to the Lucknow
Fire Department for the
purchse of their paging sys-
tem.
Peter and Marjorie Levick
and Aaron of Ottawa visited
for four days last week with
Dora Alton. Stuart and Stev-
en.
Hold April meeting
Trinity U.C.W. held their
regular meeting on April 14,
at the home of Mrs. Harvey
Ritchie, with an attendance
of 25.
The president, Mrs. Ken
Alton opened the meeting
with a verse, Has Someone
Seen Christ. Mrs, Mel Rit-
chie read the scripture and
Mrs. Bill Andrew gave the
meditation, The Art of Let-
ting Go. Mrs. Ritchie led in
prayer.
The president welcomed
everyone and thanked the
hostess. Mrs, Charles Wilk-
ins conducted the Bible
Study, on Abram and Sarai,
having to leave all their
prized possessions and go
forth to do God's kidding.
Mrs. Ken Alton read a poem
by Lois Wilson,

by each member's favourite
Spring Flower, Mrs. Murray
Irvin read an article, Reflec-
tions un The South Seas. Six
ladies attended the Huron -
Perth special event held in
Goderich on April 11 and
they reported on the even-
ing.
Mrs. Alex Hackett gave a
Bible quiz., and the president
led in prayer. A bale is to be
packed after the May meet-
ing. Following the business
the president closed the
meeting with a short prayer
and a social hour followed.
Junior Farmers neet
The West Junior Farmers
met on Monday. April 11, at
8.00 p.m. at Brookside Public
School. Cohn Snyder, vice-
president called the meeting
to order and 37 members
sang the Junior Farmer
Song.
Minutes of the last mcet-

rran, secretary. The Creas-
er, Ruth Ritchie, gave her
ort.

The rose bowl award was

his work on the card party.

very successful and the win-
ners were high men's euch-
