The judges were ladies directly from Scotland, Lisa Frayne is Laurie's dance teacher, On Sunday, Graham and Bessie McNee, Donna Hay- den and daughters, Laurie and Linda attended a family dinner and shower at Reids Corners for a cousin who is to be married on April 9. Major and Mrs. Bob Ma- har, Kathy and Mike of Petawawa, called on Mrs. Mahar's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Don Shetler on Satur- day while on their way to London and .then to Florida. Nicole Sherwood of Goder- ich, daughter of Robert and Claudette Sherwood, visited with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Sherwood, for four days last week. Sympathy is extended to Charlie Travis on the death of his wife, Rose on Satur- day, March 26 in Goderich Hospital. Rose was in her 69th year. McCallum Funeral Home, Goderich, was in charge of the service on Tuesday afternoon. Crema- tion followed. Heritage Homemakers enjoy Greek pie By Diane Raynard The fourth meeting of the Heritage Homemakers was held March 5 at the home of Hazel Hackett, President Brenda Hackett took roll call, there are 65 varieties of pasta, Name one, Seven members answered, The members then went to work making Antipasto, Mid- dle Eastern Stuffed Vege- tables, Apple Pie Greek Style and Mint Tea. The members took turns reading Flavors from Italy, Italian Cheeses, Pasta and Antipasto. The Source of Western Cooking, Food Geo- graphy, A Visit to a Greek Restaurant, Foods of the Balkans and Middle East. The girls sampled the food made earlier. Everything was very tasty but a few said they did not like the Anti- pasto. Comments included, "Just like Mom's Apple Pie" and "scrumptious" floated through the air for the Apple Pie Greek Style. Apple Dumplings learn to make Borsch By Darlene KWh The Kingsbridge Apple Dumpling Gang held their third meeting on March 21 at the home of Mrs, Antone Van Osch. The twelve mem- bers answered the roll call, Does your family keep any food customs from their (or their ancestors) country of origin? The minutes of the last meeting were read by Nancy Miltenburg and treasurer's report was given by Debbie Drennan. The members twere then divided into groups to make the recipes for this meeting.
