ent, Mrs. George Errington,
welcomed. all, especially the
visitors:
An invitation was read
from the Christian Fellow-
ship ladies to attend a "Self
Help Progam sponsored by
the Mennonite Central Com-
mittee of 'Brookside School
later this rnonth.. A donation
was made to the blind, and
gifts sent for the area. con-
vention to be held in London
on November 1 and. 2.
Prizes were `given through-
out the program to grand
niothers,, (a) .oldest, bride -
Mrs, Gordon Congrani (mar-
ried in 1918);' (b) most recent
grandmother - Mrs. ' Alvin
Kerr; travelled farthest this
summer - Mrs,, Trommer (to
Ireland); n}ost grandchildren
-. Mrs. Huber Lawrence;
youngest grandmother -
Mrs., , John Mame; closest
birthday - Mrs, Irvine Eedy.
Several readings were given
by Mrs. Hugh McWhinney
and Miss, Beth McConnell.
The guest speaker was
Mrs. Gordon Taylor from
Goderich. who spoke on her
work as Curator of ,Tweeds-
muir Histories at Auiburn and
now at G oderich. She has
also helped to publish two
Auburn history booklets. She ,.
encouraged all to keep a
"house log" or history of
their home and its occupants
through the- years; Also' to.
include diagrams of locations
of drains, septic tanks etc.,

a trip to Lexington, Kentucky
and attended a horse sale.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mac-
Dougall had Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Dolley, Audrey and
Jamie of Orangeville, Mrs.
Grace Farrish and Mr. and
Mrs. Allan MacDougall and
family for Thanksgiving din-
ner.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Murray
and boys attended a 25th
wedding for Leo's sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Dales of Smith
Falls on the weekend. They
also called in to visit with Mr.
and Mrs. Greg Welch and
Cameron of Kingston.
Mr. and Mrs. Ian Wallace
and family of London were
weekend visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Philip Steer.
Thanksgiving dinner was
served at Mr. and Mrs. Don
Bells and family with other
guests being Mr. and Mrs.
Peter Steer and family and
other cousins of London.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
MacGillivray andfamily
were weekend visitors with
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Buchmeier
and Carol. All were Thanks-
giving dinner guests with
Mrs. ` Stewart MacGillivray
on Sunday.
Currie Colwell, Anne and
Betty moved into their new
home last week. Mr. and
Mrs. Bruce Colwell moved
into their new home also last
week.
Betty Colwell showed the
films of Ghana; . Africa on
Sunday evening in, South
Kinloss Church. They were
very interesting and makes
us feel how lucky we are here
to have so much food and
other supplies here at home.
Asocial time was held after.
Congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. Herb Buckton who
celebrated their 40th wed-
ding anniversary on the
weekend: To help celebrate a
dinner was served at the
home of their daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. John Mowbray and
family. Dr. and Mrs. Bill
Buckton and family were

Mildmay were all visitors
with them.
