The Lucknow—District Kinsmen and
Kinette Clubs have combined efforts to
donate $5,000 towards the Lucknow and
District Community Centre building fund.
The money was raised at the 1978 Kin
Summerfest staged this past summer.
The Summerfest, co-chaired this year by
Clem and Cheryl Cote and Barry and
Dianne Hackett, was the. biggest to date.
This year's version saw the combining of
the Summerfest with the annual Kinsmen
Intermediate Softball Tournament for the
first time. The car show was also added
this year so that there was something on in
the arena, at the ball park and in the
community centre at
Summerfest weekend.
