D.O.C. representative to speak to Lucknow CBcIub Representatives of the De- partment of Communication will be in Lucknow on Tuesday, October 10 to answer questions involving communications equipment. The ,public is invited to come to the meeting to meet with the D.O.C. representatives and "the voices" who help get people and traffic through this area. CB clubs are -comprised of interested CB_ operators who are willing to work together especially in emergency situ- ations. With our winters, CBers have helped motorists get through the area where some roads may be blocked, and stranded motorists back into town or nearby shelter. They work with service clubs to co-ordinate projects such as Lucknow's Kin Summerfest, Tractor Pull and Bike-a-thon, • parades and air shows. All CB operators are licenced by the Department of Communications as are TV stations, radio stations and Amateur Radio operators. .The D.O.C. check out inter- ference on' televisions. Interference can be. caused by 'hydro lines and themost obvious cause would seem to be the CB operator down the street: The D.O.C. comes into the area and checks 'out interference problems when called in to do so.
