• There was great weather
for the plowing match which
everyone attended.

and Mrs. Dick McQuillin and

McQuillin of Willowdale,
Ray Thomson and son, Don,
of Port C,, olborne and Mr. and
Mrs. Herb McQuillin of
Salem.
Visiting with Mr. and Mrs.
Barry Johnston and boys
were Mr. and Mrs. Les
Gawley of Powe River,
British Columbia and Mrs.
Marlene Greig and Ryan of
Elmira.
The Young • Peoples of
Lucknow and South Kinloss
has started their meetings
again for the season on
Sunday evening.
On Sunday South Kinloss
Church had a joint commun-
ion service with Lucknow at+
11 o'clock. Starting next
Sunday South Kinloss church
will be back to their regular
time at 12,30.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mac-
Kenzie had visiting with
;them, Mrs. Florence Clift of
Melfort, Saskatchewan.
Mrs. Don Nickel and Mrs.
Bob MacNay visited with
Linda McQuillin on Saturday
in Mount Sinai Hospital in
Toronto, where Lindahad an
appendix operation.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mac-
Kenzie enjoyed a trip to an
island on the French River'
near . Hartley Bay recently
where they visited some
friends that stpend five
months of the year there.
Lucknow Leo club
hosts seminar
Leos and their advisors
from Brussels, Arthur, Or-
angeville ,
rangeville, Tiverton, and
Lucknow met for a seminar at
the Lucknow Community
Centre on September, 23.
Following introduction of
club presidents and advisors,
the clubs were divided into
groups. These groups discus-
sed what they liked about the
Leo Club and some of the
changes 'they would like to
make.
After • . discussion, Con-
stable -Wilson of the Ontario
Provincial Police showed the
group . an. informative film
entitled, How to Say "No" to
a Rapist and ,survive.

After supper, visiting Leos
accompanied Lucknow, Leos
to their homes to change to
semi -formal dress for the
dance tothe group, Alba-
tross: The dance was well
attended and comments from.
chaperones indicated they
enjoyed seeing their children
dressed up fora dance.
New date
for bids
The Ontario Ministry of
Energy has announced that,
because of mail service
interruptions, October 20th
will be considered the final
date for receipt of submis-
sions from potential invest-
ors for the use of warm water
available at -Ontario Hydro's
nuclear • power generating
stations.
In August, the Ministry of
Energy placed advertise-
ments -in newspapers across
the province inviting private
investors to submit proposals
for- .the utilization of this
warm water byproduct.
Those interested were asked
to submit outline proposals
and preliminary designs by . '.
September 29, 1978.
Submissions received at
the offices of the Ontario "
Energy Corporation -- 4th

West, Toronto, Ont. M7A
2B7 -- by Noon, October. 20,
1978, will be considered as
having met the deadline.
