Mrs. Eldon Bradley re-
viewed the summer activities
and accomplishments of our

.Mrs. Bradley introduced
the guest speaker, Mrs. Ruth
Johnstone, of Ashfield Town-
ship. She related the exper-
iences of herself and her
husband and family," as they
served in Africa under the
Mennonite Central Commit-
tee and in Jamaica under the
Salvation Army for a five
year period. Her message
was instructive and' interest-
ing and one could sense her
dedication and sincerity.
Mrs. Roy Havens thanked
the speaker.
Mrs. Glen. Walden, pres-
ident, presided for the busi-
ness portion of the meeting.
- The planning meeting for the
anniversary supper was
scheduled for October 2nd.
Thankoffering envelopes will
be handed out at the October
unit meetings and are to be
returned in November. Mrs.
George Joynt reported cloth-
es had been sent to the
Children's Aid in Walkerton.

C.G.I.T; ELECTS NEW
OFFICERS •
At the third fall meeting of
Lucknow Canadian Girls in
Training, new officers were
elected. Bonnie Clarke is the
president, Christy Davies is
vice president, secretary is
Debra Arnold and treasurer
is Shirley Loree.
Faye Forster led in a sing
song and Kay Morrison had a
relay game. In group time
the younger girls started a
study on "Self". The other.
groups did two mini -work-
shops - sing song leading
with Bonnie Clark and game
leading with Mary Ann Rit-
chie.
Next week is C.G.I.T.
Week and each girl is en-'
couraged to participate in
services in her church and to
attend special evening serv-
ices this month. The meeting
closed with Taps.
W.M.S.
gave the meditation.
Mrs. George Moncrief
conducted study four from
the study book. Interesting
items • were read and a
discussion followed.
Mrs. Warren Wylds had
the business portion. A thank
you note was read from Mrs.
Grant Farrish. Mrs. Wylds
reported on the board meet-
ing held September 11 in
Lucknow, and the workshop
that was in Teeswater Sept-
ember 18, where 'thenew
study 'book for the coming
year was discussed.
There is a rally October
3rd in Wingham with guest
speaker Miss Mavis. Hynd-
man.
Grace was sung and lunch
werved by the committee.

Married at Nile
STOTHERS—PARK
Rev. C. G: Westhaver, Dungannon, officiated at a
wedding ceremony in Nile'United Church on Saturday,
September 2nd, which joined in marriage Debra
Elaine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Stothers,
Nile to Stephen William, son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Park, Dungannon.
The church was decorated with yellow andwhite
mums, yellow daisies, white gladioli and crystal
candleholders with white candles for the double -ring
ceremony. Wedding music was supplied by Mrs.
Karen Webster, and soloist was. Mrs. Helen Lindsay,
auntof the bride who sang "You Light ,Up My Life"
and "We've Only Just Begun".
Given in marriage by her.father, the bride wore a
gown of white French sheer over arnel trimmed with
lace, V -neckline and empire waist with the skirt
flowing into a long train. Her long veil edged with lace
was attached to a headdress of white silk flowers. She
carried yellow roses and white miniature carnations.
Matron of honor was Michele Rourke, friend of the
bride, Zurich. Bridesmaids were Karen Stothers, Nile,
Valerie Mallough, Goderich, sisters of the bride and
Elaine Stewart, Dungannon, friend of the bride. They
wore full length rust polyester shoestring strap
dresses with matching capes. They carried parasols
trimmed with silk flowers of yellow daisies and rust
ribbon and wore asilk yellow daisy in their hair.
Flowergirl was Julie Stothers, niece of the bride,
Nile. Her dress was similar to those of thesenior at-
tendants and she wore a silkyellow daisy in her hair
and carried a parasol trimmed with silk daisies.
Ringbearer, was Master Bradley Park, brother of
the groom.
Groomsman was Robert Rourke, friend .of the
groom, Zurich. Ushers were Tom Park, brother of the
groom, Wayne Park, cousin of the groom and Ronald
Olson, friend of the groom, all of Dungannon. Bryan
Stothers:, brother of the bride, Nile was Master of
Ceremonies. " •
The bride's mother wore a floor length gown of pink
silk polyester with matching sheer cape and a corsage
of white silk roses. -
The groom's mother wore a mint green polyester
floor length gown with sheer sleeves and a corsage of
yellow silk roses.
After the ceremony dinner was served in the
Lucknow Community Centre followed by a reception.
Guests were present from London, Mont Pelieu,
Ohio -and surrounding area. Wedding congratulations
were received from the groom's relatives in England.
The bride travelled in a blue pant suit with a corsage
of pink roses.
The newlyweds are residing in Dungannon.
Prior to her marriage a community shower was held
at Nile United Church and at Brookside School. Mrs.
Michele Rourke was hostess for a shower as well:
