Mrs. N, J. MacKenzie,
Lucknow spent the past 2
weeks with Mr. and Mrs,
George MacGregor of Lyn -
den and while there she
attended the wedding of her
granddaughter, Janet Myers
and Eric Williams, which
took place in Calvin Presby-
terian Church, Toronto, Aug-
ust' 26th. The newlyweds
honeymooned in Greece.
Julie Forler, grand-
daughter of Mrs. Robert
Moffat has returned from
,the Dominion Republic,
where she participated in
a •volunteer Christian
Medical Mission. The
seven teenagers from
Central United Church,
Barrie assisted the
doctors, dentists, nurses
and ophthalmologists in
treating the extremely
poor people of the area.
They came back with a
very real appreciation of
the opportunities in
Canada. Julie will con-
tinue her studies in
Barrie.
Mrs. Lois Purvis,
Lucknow is a patient in
Wingham and District
Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Duncan
MacMillan of Venice Isle,
Florida and their
daughter, Marilyn and
Mrs. Don Taylor of
Detroit visited this past
week with Mr. and Mrs.
J.L. MacMillan and Mr.
Mike , Cummings of
Pinecrest.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Simpson, Helen and
Chris, returned from a
motor trip 'to Calgary,
where they Visited with
their daughter, Betty
Anne and Robin Davey
and son, Alex.
Mr, and Mrs. Eugene
Pritchard, Casey and
Darin of Claremont spent
this weekend with his
parents, John and. Ruth_
Pritchard and family and
his grandfather, Nelson
Winterstein, and attended
the reception on Saturday
night for Ray and Noreen
Elliott.
Mr. and 'Mrs. Rick
Pritchard, Dustin and
Janelle were home last
week from Edmonton,
Alberta and spent several
days with Rick's parents,
John and Ruth Pritchard
and family and his
grandfather, Nelson
Winterstein. Donna's
parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ernie Taylor of Blenheim
also visited with the
Pritchard family. Rick
and Donna and children
encountered a great deal
of difficulty getting back
to Edmonton because of
the air strike and were
forced to return home by
bus.

THAT John Carter, R.R.
5, Lucknow, grew some
big potatoes 'this sum-
mer. He brought a six
quart basket of potatoes
to the Sentinel office last
week. Each potato was
about 14 inches in
diameter. He said many
of his potatoes grew- to
this size and he is
averaging 25 30 potaotes
in ahill.
