ALLAN DOUGLAS DRENNAN Candelabras and baskets of pink and white gladioli formed the setting for a. lovely wedding at Central Presbyterian Church, Cambridge (Galt) on Saturday, July 29 at 4 p.m. when Nancy Elizabeth Forrester, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Forrester of Cambridge became the bride of Allan Douglas Drennan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Drennan of RR3 Goderich. The Reverend William C. Nicholson officiated at the double ring ceremony. Both bride and groom were given in marriage by their parents. Soloist James Mattear of Cambridge sang If and The Wedding Song accompanied by Mrs. Howard DeBrusk of Cambridge on the organ. The bride- wore a princess line white satin gown featuring a keyhole neckline appliqued with alencon lace down the front and extending• around the cathedral train. The long sleeves :featured cut-out appliqued lace to the lily points over her hands. Her Juliet cap of alencbn. lace and seed pearls held her fingertip veil edged in alencon lace and pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of silk pink roses, pink rose petals and white rose buds 'Matron of honor, . was the .bride's sister-in-law, Maureen Forrester of London. She wore a pale green silk jersey gown with shoestring straps and matching chiffon cape falling to points in front and back. She carriedka white basket of silk pink roses and white and pink rose petals. Best man was the groom's brother Dennis Drennan of Goderich. The ushers were the bride's brother, John Forrester of London and Ronald Wilson of Holyrood, cousin of the groom. The groom wore a light beige tuxedo suit trimmed with brown and a ruffled. shirt to .match. His at- tendants were similarly attired. For the reception at the Pine Room of the Chateau Kress, the bride's mother received the guests wearing a pale blue gown ofsilk jersey with. elbow length cape extending to a full panel down the front, beaded belt, silver accessories and a salmon pink corsage of silk flowers. The groom's mother wore a mint green polyester gown with a pleated skirt and sheer jacket with elbow length sleeves edged in Belgian lace. She wore, a silk corsage of white, baby mums accented with a pink ribbon and white accessories. The newly-weds "left for- their honeymoon to Edmonton to attend the Commonwealth Games and the north-western United States. The bride wore a pale blue dress with . matching triangle ruffle cape. and navy blue and pink corsage and navy and white ac- cessories, • Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs. Al Drennan will reside at 201 White Oaks ,Court, Whitby, Ontario. Both the bride and groom are employed by the Durham Region Board of Education. The groom was on the teaching staff of Goderich District Collegiate last term. Out of town guests at the wedding came from Goderich, Lucknow, London, , Sarnia, Beachville, Kincardine, Lindsay, Guelph, Teesw•ater, Ajax, Toronto, Sault Ste. Marie, 'Port Hope, Bancroft; Shakespeare, Kitchener and Kingston. Court of revision was held ' on the Curran Municipal Drain, Tom Culbert had .the only appeal entered. On the recommendation of the engineer, W.J. Bartlett, council reduced the assessment on South half of lot 6, conc. 7 ED on the Main Drain closed from $984.00 to $492.00 and on the Open Drain from $798.00 to $399.00. The Court of Rivision was closed and the Curran Drain by-law was ven final reading and ed. The clerk was tructed to call tenders for construction and tenders to be in by Sept. 19th, 1978. Mrs. AliOe Bogie was present concerning the drainage problem at Kintail Beach. After discussion the clerk was instructed to have E.H.
