Reid celebrates 87th burthday at his Kinloss home BY RUTH BUCHMEIER Well where did the sum- mer go? The school bells are ringing, students walking to school with books and lunch pails and the yellow buses are up and down the roads again. Another term has started with each and every- one going into a new class- room or new school or for the first time for the little ones. Some are off to college or university. No matter where, we wish them all Good Luck, Mr. W. G. Reed celebrat- ed his 87th birthday on Sunday. Congratulations come from us all. To visit with Mr, and Mrs.. -.Reed were Mrs. Edith Schliser and daughter, Karen of Bay City, Mr. and Mrs. Martin John- ston of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Mr. and Mrs, Bill Reed of Goderich, . Mr. and Mrs. Ben Brown of Port Albert and Eunice Cunningham. Mr. and Mrs. Norm Le Clare and Donna of Toronto and Mrs. Stewart MacGil- livray were visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Buchmeier and Carol over the weekend. Mr. J. J. Houston and Lynn of Toronto visited with Mr, and Mrs. Ken Houston over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mac- Kinnon of Guelph visited with Mr. and Mrs. Fraser MacKinnon and Murray and Mr. and Mrs. David MacKin- non and family. Mr. and Mrs. Huntly Daw- son have returned home from a two week tour, .which they enjoyed to the east coast. They motored through Unit- ed States and came back by Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Allan and Dwayne enjoyed a holiday in Kinmount and Burnt River visiting with friends, Mr. and Mrs. Mc- Kim. They also visited with their sister and brother-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Baker and family of Shelburne. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Clarke, Laurie and Julie visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenford Davis of Brantford over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hous- ton attended the Colling-Far- rell wedding in Ripley on Friday evening. Helen Murray of Palmer- ston, Ruth Anne and Johan- na Maclntyre of Alliston spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Maclntyre and family. A number from this area attended the C.N.E. at Toronto last week. St. Helens BY KATHRYN TODD Intended for last week Lisa Taylor returned home by bus last week after spending a week in London visiting her cousin, Debbie McRoberts. Wayne Todd was treated in emergency last week for blood poisoning. He has since recovered. Mrs. Jo-ann Todd and children spent several days in Holland Landing visiting with Mr. and Mrs. John Bick while her husband attended the Dresdan Fall Fair. Jim Aitchison also attended the Dresdan Fair with his prize winning team of Belgium horses. . Mr. and Mrs. Gordon MacIntyre of Richmond Hill spent a co pie of days with Helen Todd and Isabel Miller. Steve MacPherson . spent most of the weekend in Owen Sound this weekend, attend- ing the try -out for Junior B hockey. Good luck, Steve.
