News from Iluronview
Twenty-five members of
the Over 90 Club attended
the annual picnic at the
Conservation Park, Clinton,
on Wednesday afternoon.
The Walkerburn Club volun-
teers, Mrs. Pat Hunking, Ila
Cunningham, Kay Lapp and
Eileen McClinchey, assisted
with activities. Three junior

volunteers, Joy McClinchey,
Julie and Debbie Cunning-
ham, were in charge of the
contests and the Huronview
Orchestra entertained with
Old Tyme and sacred music.
Several residents enjoyed
the Scottish concert in Clin-
ton Saturday evening. Many
thanks to the Murphy Bus
lines who donated the trans-
portation.
Mr. Dick Roorda led the
Christian Reform Sunday
evening song service accom-
panied by Margaret Mc-
Queen, with vocal numbers
by Mrs. Bylsma.
The residents were enter-
tained on Family Night with
a concert by the Bob
Heywood Orchestra of Exet-
er. The concert was held on
the front lawn and was
appreciated by all the resid-
ents. Bob plays the accordian
and sings many of the sacred
and favourite songs. The
other two members of the
group are Calvin Horner nn
guitar and Jeff Rooth on
drums.
Several residents have
been enjoying the plays at
the Huron County Play-
house, Grand Bend.
Lieutenant Watt led the
Sunday afternoon song serv-
ice sponsored by the Goder-
ich Citadel of the Salvation
Army.
The residents were enter-
tained on Family Night with
a concert on the front lawn by
the Greensleeves. John New-
ell is leader of the band and
plays the electric organ.
Janice Miller plays the
electric guitar and assists
John with vocal selections.
The Hensall Women's In-
stitute were hosts for the
July Birthday Party. The
president of the Institute,
Mrs. Pepper, was emcee for
the musical program. Mrs.
Dorothy Mickle accompanied
at the piano for a sing -a -long.
Mr. Joe Boland entertained
with violin selections, accom-
panied at the piano by Alfred
Denome. There was tep-
dancing by Henry Ains.
Mrs. Maude Pearson, one of
the celebrants, expressed the
appreciation of the residents.
