The -four junior classes met in the United Church and the four senior classes in the Christian Fellowship Church. The enrolment for the entire school was over 90. The highest attendance was 90 with an avera,ge attend- ance of 87. A program was held Fri- day evening in the Christian Fellowship Church at ;which some 175 people were in. attendance. Each class gave a demonstration of some- thing they had learned during the week. This took the form of singing, reciting, memory verses, or answer- ing questions asked by the teacher. Pastor Lawrence acted as chairman and Rev. Westhav- er closed the service with prayer. SOCIAL NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Bob Eedy and family of Mississauga visited last weekend with Mr. and 'Mrs. Irvine Eedy. The twins, Jennifer and Megan, stayed for a longer, holiday with their grandpar- ents. Dave Dawson, Paul Eedy, Garry Sproul and Terry Hodges went to Cayuga on Sunday to a Tractor Pull event. Duane Rivett has gone West with Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Sproul and David. Mrs. Wm. Atkinson, Wen- dy and Paul, from Oshawa, Purple Grove• BY KERRY BOYLE Weekend visitors. with Earl and June Elliott and Ian were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Berriel and daughter, Kimberly of Hazel Park, Michigan. •They also had Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stanley as Saturday night guests. The Elliotts were joined by John and Joyce Farrell and girls and Paul and Nancy Greenwood and boys. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Stark Of Kincardine visited Cecil and Wilma Sutton and family Saturday evening. Francis -and Irene Boyle visited Saturday afternoon. 4 CoVi)les Club was heid at the Suttons on Sunday even- ing. Bonnie, Kerry and Corinne Boyle motored to Toronto on Friday to welcome home their parents from a months visit in the United Kingdom. Francis and Irene travelled to England, Scotland and Wal-, es by British Rail with stop- overs at London, Stratford Upon Avon, Edinburgh, Ab- erdeen; Inverallocky, Inver- ness, Isle of Skye, Fort William, Chester, Illand- udno. Along with many site seeing tours from these centres, they enjoyed work- ing on three *farms where their son Bryan had stayed during his two year farmers exchange visit two years ago. Their trip was also made more enjoyable by visiting the family farm of Tom Stevenson of the South Line, at the fishing village of Inverallocky from which June Elliotts farm derived .its name. June's father was born in the house in which June's cousins hosted the Boyles. Another enjoyable visit was at the home of Olwyn McAuley's sister and her husband at Chester. Francis and Irene found it a convenience for travelling with a British Rail pass and for bed and breakfast at guest homes very satisfying. Mrs. (Sonia Burgess) O'Meara and boys of London renewed acquaintances' here on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs„ Rick Fry of London visited with his brother, Rob, at their family cottage at Poplar Beach, and also visited with his grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wil- liam Haldenby. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stin- son, Gary and Susan of Hamilton, spent a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Robb. Bill is in Brazil where he has been transferred, and the family will be moving there early in August for two years, Mrs, Wm. Stewart is now residing in Lucknow in one of the Ashton apartments. Paul Sampson, grandson of Mrs, Mary Alton, returned to his home in Goderich on July 19 from Victoria Hospit- al in London where he has been since May 16 after his accident at the mine. He won't be back to work for some months yet and use a cane to get around. He was home in time to welcome his son. His wife gave birth to a 6 lb. boy July 23, their first child, born at Alexandra Marine and General Hospit- al, Goderich. Mrs. Paul Henderson and girls of Mississauga spent last, week with their father, Harvey Alton. Donald Johnston was tak- en to Wingham Hospital last Wednesday. DRIVE-IN' SERVICE Richard Yordy from St. Jacobs gave the message Sunday evening at the Drive-in service. The musk was supplied by The Amgas- sadors from Listowel. The last Drive-in service of the season will -be held next 'Sunday, July 30. James Stanley from the Missionary Church in Listowel, will be bringing the message and music will be supplied by a musical group called "The ,Last Command". DUNGANNON UNITED CHURCH The church service last Sunday was singing and learning the background of familiar hymns. Mrs. Harold Elliott has accepted the position of church organist, beginning the first Sunday in - September. Miss Shelley Rivett has been our organist for the past two years.
