Moise, Talbot Street, E., Blenheim, died in Chatham General Hospital on Saturday, April 15, 1978 after a period of failing health. Born in Lucknow, he is the son of the late John W. Moise and the late Catherine Irwin -.- He entered the banking busi- ness with the former Molson Bank in 1908 which was taken over by The Bank of Montreal in 1922. He became manager of the Blenheim branch in April, 1940. After retirement in December, 1952, he became a registered real estate broker for a period of 12 years. He was a chartered member of the Blenheim Kiwanis Club and served as treasurer for many years. He was an active member of the Ridgetown Golf Club for . a number of years and also a member of the local Curling Club.. He was a member and a steward of the Blenheim United Church and a highly respected citizen. He is survived by his wife. Anna Belle Burkhart, .a daughter, Shirley, Mrs. Philip J. Smith, Huntingdon, Michigan, and two sons, John Wesley Moise, Tec- umseh, Ontario, and William H. Moise of Houston, Texas. A grandson, Paul Moise of Texas also survives. The funeral was held from the J. L. Ford Funeral Home in Blenheim on Tuesday, April 18, 1978 at 2.00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Barnes of Blenheim United Church officiating. Pallbearers were John Flem- ing, Roy Deary, Peter Shillington, Allan Christmas, Herb Rumble, Monte Rigby and Percy Buck- land. Flower bearers were G. C. Shillington, H. L. Turner, Dexter Goddison, Douglas Garrod, W. J. Gordon and H. Burkhart. Burial followed . in Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. KEVIN ROBERT SACKRIDER Kevin Robert Sackrider of R. R. 3 Norwich, and formerly of R. R. 2 Ripley, died suddenly in a car accident on County Road 18, Township of Norwich .on April 8, 1978. Born in Kincardine in May of 1974, he was the son of Robert and Marjorie Sackrider, who survive him. He is also survived by his sister, Denise and his brother, Alan. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roberts. Aylmer, and Mrs. Don Sackrider, R. R. 3 Norwich, survive. His great grandmothers, Mrs. John Gauld, Woodstock and Mrs. Windsor Johnstone, Ingersoll also survive. He was predeceased by one brother, Stephen. A private funeral service was held Monday, April 10, 1978, at 2.00 p.m. with Rev. Max Johnson of Newark United Church, offici- ating. Interment followed in Burgessville Cemetery. JOHN A. C. GAMM1E John Andrew Craig Gammie. died at St. Joseph's Hospital, London on April 9, 1978, after a short illness. Born in West Wawanosh, Town- ship on October 4, 1934, he was the son of Albert Gammie and the late Margaret Ann Woods. He is survived by his father, Albert Gammie; stepmother, Winnifred Gammie; a brother, Ross, of West Wawanosh Town- ship and two sisters, Helen, Mrs. Eric Hackett, -Huron Township; Dorothy, Mrs. Harvey Ratz of Shipka; nieces and nephews. Prior to his death John farmed at R. R. 1 Lucknow and was employed by Dominion (toads Co. of Goderich for the past eight years. Service was held Wednesday, April 12 at MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Luck - now. Rev. Munshaw officiated. Pallbearers were James Reid, Bob Lyons, George Anderson, Doug Johnston, Dave Smith and Dennis Fowler. Flower bearers were Aaron and Tim Hackett and Gregory and Susan Ratz. Temporary entombment follow- ed in South Kinloss Mausoleum. Final resting place will be Greenhill Cemetery. MARY HEPBURN MURRAY Mary Hepburn Murray, Luck - now, died at Pinecrest Manor on Saturday, April 15, 1978, in her 88th year. A faithful member of the Presbyterian Church and the W.M.S., she belonged to the St. Helens. Women's Institute. She devoted her life to her home, family, church and friends. She was born in West Wawa - nosh Township on December 3, 1890, daughter of the late Donald Murray and the late Marian Radcliffe. Miss Murray is survived by one brother, J. Radcliffe Murray, and sister-in-law, Frances Murray of Lucknow, one nephew, Donald Murray, of Holyrood, a niece, Norma, Mrs. Bruce Raynard, of West Wawanosh and four great- nephews and four great nieces. She was predeceased by a brother R. Ross Murray in 1956. The funeral was held from the MacKenzie and McCreath Funer- al Home, Lucknow, on April 17, 1978 at 2.00 p.m. with the Rev. William Munshaw. St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial followed in Dungannon Cemetery. 11. EUGENE HANSON On Sunday at 4.00 p.m., April 16, 1978, Mr. H. Eugene Hanson passed away in Tawas City Hospital in his 93rd year. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Anna May Kilpatrick, May 23rd, 1969, and by two brothers, Iver and Claude in California, and one sister, Zilla, Mrs. Hosea Bigelow in Michigan. A sister, Gladys, Mrs. Arland Lundy, survives; also several nieces and nephews. For 20 years he had worked in the Railway Shops and alsoCemetery. served on the Coast Guards. Later he had an Insurance business. From 1939 - 1943 Mr. and Mrs. Hanson were Superintendent and Matron of the I.O.O.F. Home in Jackson, Michigan. Private funeral service was. conducted at the Jacques and Kobs Funeral Home by Rev. A. W. Saulsbury ' of the Episcopal Church of which Mr. Hanson was a member, followed by services in the I.O.O.F chapel, East Tawas, with Rev. Russell McKenzie, Grand Chaplain of the State of Michigan in charge. Mr. Hansom had formerly been a Grand Master of the State. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, East Tawas, I lichigan on April 19. , A dinner was• served to friends in the I.O.O.F. Hall by members of the Rebeccahs and the Eastern Star. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kilpat- rick of Wingham, Mrs. Cecil Blake of Dungannon, and Mr. Brian Kilpatrick of Toronto at- tended the services for "Uncle Gene" as he was known to many in this area. Ethel, on July 8, 1884, she was the daughter of the late Christo- pher Raynard and the late Jennie Armstrong of Ethel. She married the late Charles Congram of Kinloss in 1904. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles Shiell, Wingham, and a sop, Harold Congram, Kitchener, and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Ackert, Lucknow. Mrs. Congram was predeceas- ed by her husband and one son, Clifford. The funeral was held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funer- al Home, Lucknow, on April 22, 1978 at 2 p.m. Rev. Doug Kaufman conducted the service. Six grandsons were pallbear- ers, Gordon Congram, Wm. Congram, both of Wingham; .Dale Congram, Ottawa; Bryan Con - gram, Toronto.; Jack Shiell and Murray Shiell',.,`both of Wingham. Flower bearers were Harvey Ackert, Kincardine; Cecil Con - gram, Holyrood and Harvey Congram, Amberley. Burial followed in Greenhill Cemetery. ALVIN CHARLES ALTON Alvin Charles Alton, Leopold Street, Wingham, died in Wing - ham and District Hospital of a heart attack on April 5, 1978, in his 53rd year. A farmer until he moved to Wingham, he was born in Ashfield Township, a son of the late Roy and Maude Alton. He was a member of the Dungannon Lodge. He married . Madeline Ander- son of Dungannon in 1952. He is survived by his wife, four sons, Brian of Lucknow, James of Wingham, William of Belgrave, and Robert at home, and one daughter, Kathy, Mrs. Eldon Thompson, Gorrie. A sister, Dorothy McLeod, Lucknow, and a brother, Clayton, Lucknow, also survive. The funeral was conducted at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home in Lucknow, on April 8, 1978 at 2 p.m. Rev. Barry Passmore of Wingham United Church officiated. Pallbearers were Charles Wilk- ins, Barry Hackett, Jack Graham, Douglas Cameron, Donald Alton, and Gordon Morrison.
