members will go home inspired
with the challenges that face
them for "Home & Country".

Kinloss council
The regular session of Kinloss
Council was held April 3rd with
Reeve Johnston and all council
present.
The offer of $15,00.00 to do the
survey and profile of the 2nd
concession west by Medway Civil
Engineering, was accepted.
Final reading was given to the
by-law to construct the Hartemink
Municipal Drain after court of
revision, as there were no
appeals. Tenders are to be invited
for the Hartemink Municipal
Drain, also tha; IVIcEwan and
Carrick Extension drains.
Motions were made appointing
Frank MacKenzie, to be a
fenceviewer and Lorne Robinson
as weed inspector; also to donate
$100.00 to the Lucknow Agricul-
tural Society.
The concern over the loss of
school by Bruce County students
at F. E. Madill' High School in
Wingham• generated the follow
ing 'notion_ which was moved by
Leonard Clarke and seconded by
George McBride.
"In' view of the past rotating
strikes by Huron County Bard of
Education school teache_afid the
subsequent lockout of these
teachers . from Huron County
Secondary Schools and the fact
'that 310 students, thereabouts,
from Bruce County are presently
enrolled at F. E. Madill Second-
ary School and that parents. of
these students who are ratepay-
ers pay taxes towards the
education of these students to the
Bruce County Board of Educa-
tion; that the Township of Kinloss
Council petition the Bruce County
„- Board of Education to make some
effort to provide alternate school
ing for these students and that
this motion be circulated to the
councils of the Township of ,
Culross, the village of Lucknow
and the village of Teeswater.
General accounts of $9,952.49
and highway accounts of
$12,722.89 were ordered paid.
Building permits issued for the
year 1977 were valued at $424,-
050.00. There were 7 single
family dwellings for $194,500.00,
4 mobile homes $29,000.00, coma.
mercial 1 for $1400.00, ' 19
agricultural (barns, silos, etc)
$162,650.00, 8 'renovations for
$31,500.00 and 1 miscellaneous
for $5000.00.
