raising committee. Joy was the first winner of the Community
Centre Lottery which will see 52 winners of $1,000 over the next
year. Her lucky ticket number was 777. Joy's father-in-law, Harvey
Houston, was at the draw held in the Bank of Montreal and phoned
Joy to ask if she had heard the good news. When he told her that
she had won a $1,000she told him she couldn't believe it.

last weekend owing to the death
of their aunt, Mrs.. • William.
Golloher. Funeral service for the
late Mrs.. Golloher, formerly
Margaret Miller of this area, was
held in Norwood on Monday.
The Arthritis Society TV Spec-
ial will be held this weekend.

applied to the Special' Research
Project headed by Dr. Bell of the
University of Western Ontario

There are some honest people
left in the world. Mrs. John
Warren reports that when she
and her husband returned from a
vacation in Virginia their alumin-
um door was broken. Their paper
boy, Fred Davies, came to offer to
pay for the repair of the door he
had broken accidently while
delivering their newspaper.
THAT
'Bob Shepherd, R., R. 3 Luck -
now, won the Lucknow and
District Kinsmen draw for a trip
for two to the Bahamas, drawn
last Tuesday night. Bob has the
option of taking the trip or $600'in
cash. Proceeds from the draw go
towards community service pro-
jects.
