owner or occupier of land 'cannot
create a deliberate danger to
• snowmohilep or he is liable.
VEHICLE OWNER'S LIABILITY:
• If someone else uses your:
machine with your consent you
are jointly liable for any damages
or injury arising out of operation ,
of the vehicle, or for penalties for
breaking the law.
DRIVER'S LICENCES:
No one shall operate a motpriz-
ed snow vehicle on a highway
unless he has a driver's licence or
is 16 years old and has a
Motorized Snow Vehicle operat-
or's licence.
A course is, available now to
obtain a motorized snow vehicle
operator's licence for persons 12
years . old and up. This licence
• enables a 12-14 year old to drive a
- motorized snow vehicle on public
trails. This licence enables a
14-16 year old to drive a
motorized snow vehicle on a
public trail and to cross a highway
at a 90 degree angle. This licence
enables a 16 year 'old 'to drive a
motorized snow vehicle anywhere.,
a snowmobile can legally go even
though he does not have 'a car
driver's, licence.
The course is approximately six.
hours long and costs $.7.50 plus
$2.00 for the licence validation

Tammy Stone, Whitechurch, laughs with glee as she takes a snow
carpet ridc.down the hill at' the back of Archie MacMillan's farm,
Lucknow, when, the Lucknow Brownies went toboganning there last
Wednesday. The.girls chose a bright sunshiny winter day for their
party on the slopes and later enjoyed a hot spaghetti dinner at the
home of their leader, Susan Thompson.
