M -m -m -m. I love the
smell of fresh Christmas
trees. It is already time to
pick out our Christmas
tree.
Hi, my name is
Cassandra. I am 29 years
old now. My roommate
and I are picking out the
perfect Christmas tree for
our apartment. My
Christmas shopping is
complete and the gifts are
wrapped.
All we need now is the
tree. Look! There it is! I
see the perfect tree! It is
lovely and full and it
stands nice and straight.
When loaded up onto my
little, red car, the spruce
tree practically swallows it
up!
The fluffy, white snow
really puts us in the mood
for Christmas as we drive
home.
As we try to stuff the
tree up the stairway to our
apartment, we wonder if it
grew on the way home. It
sure didn't look this big
when we picked it out at
the nursery! After quite a
struggle, and a great deal
of laughter, we finally
manage to get it set up.

Christmas...1 laid the
cookie on the table and the
milk and the carrots to.
Then I heard a sound. It
sounded like click, clack,
clatter. I heard another
sound like someone was
coming down the chim-
ney. I went downstairs and
there was St. Nick. Ile
saw us and said, "I lo! ho!"
He brought our presents
and got his hit; hag and
went up the chimney. Ile
said, "Merry Christmas to
all and to all a good
night."

I watch the white lights
glimmer as we string pop-
corn. Twenty-eight of the
decorations hold a special
meaning to me because
they are decorations that
my parents gave to me
each year for Christmas as
1 grew up. Martha places
the final touch on the tree.
It is a silver angel that
makes the tree look magi-
cal.
It is 6 a.m. on

already been up for a

It snowed over night
leaving everything cov-
ered in a blanket of white.
I have been so busy with
preparations for Christmas
that I have lost track of
time.
"Ring! Ring!" "I'll get
it," I shout to Martha. It is
our families. They have
come for Christmas din-
ner! First. we exchange
hugs. Then, we exchange
gifts. The best part of
Christmas is being togeth-
er again with the people I
love.
