The stores are all being decorated making a beau- tiful picture to walk along the main street in the evening. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion held their tea and bake sale at the Legion Hall on Saturday. Saturday evening was the annual Chamber of Commerce dinner and dance at the Community Centre where local busi- nesses can entertain their employees. After the morning ser- vice in the Lucknow United Church on Sunday, the Christian Education Committee provided a soup and sandwich lunch for all the members of the con- gregation. All the money raised helps to send the Sunday School pupils to summer camp. In tie Lucknow Presbyterian Church News from Sincere sympathy is extended to the families of the late Denise Coiling of Ripley and Tom Walsh of Kincardine. Our thoughts and prayers are with you folks. June and Earl Elliott visited with Lajla and Everett Elliott of Ferndale, Michigan, on Monday ,and with Vivian Stephen of Westland; Michigan, on Tuesday. They also visited with the Farrell family on Saturday and attended the Anger auction sale. Others from the Grove attended the sale as well. Isabelle Brook' enjoyed an overnight visit with her brother Stuart and his wife Winnie MacDonald in London. On Tuesday Marlene Mundell hosted the Purple Grove Bible study at Huron Villa. Marjorie Thompson, Nancy, Robert and Tyler Cumming of Port Elgin visited with Marie and Allan Calling on Sunday. Visiting with Anne McCosh and Mary Anne Kukoly recently were Sandy Gander, Isabelle Brook and Donald Forster. Anne and Mary Anne visited with Frank Colwell of Trillium Court, Currie Colwell of Lucknow, Diane and Luchnow� Sunday evening, there was a special service of "sights and sounds" for a winter's night with slides, meditations and music. Music was pro- vided by Dianne Hawthorne and Marion Raynard, Lindsey Raymond on her flute, and Peggy Kinsman and Ruth Bell. Stan, Pam,,.Alex and Sarah Loree of Brampton were home for part of the weekend with Austin and Mildred Loree. There were eight tables of shoot in play at the Drop in Centre last week with Elaine Errington, Ruth Conley, Ross Errington and Cliff Menary having the high scores. Vivian Hogan and Erma Crich tied for the most shoots. The group adjourned to the Anglican hall for a Christmas supper. the Grove.0 Arne Clifford and family, Heather and Sam Finnie and family, and Audrey and John Smith and fam- ily. Fran and Jim Farrell and family attended a Logtenberg family gath- ering at Irene and Joe West's of Stratford on Sunday. Jim attended the OFA convention, in Toronto the first of the week. Edna Stanley's cousin, Merle Jones and her hus- band Harold, of Ottawa enjoyed a good visit on Saturday. Maureen and Roy Collins visited with Jennifer Collins of Guelph on Saturday. ‘).
